This is what I came up with. I didn't want to remove my hood shield, so this it the finished product.

I already have mine. I had mine Custom Made from Emblemart.com
I selected an Italic Font and chose letter size 1.5 tall and they're about 2.45 wide approx depending on the letter. I've been on this for about 2 months trying to get these damn Letters. It took a lot of research and work on my part but here you go.

Its on my girls car so we have more plans for it but I cant spend anymore right now. Planning wedding so for now this is it.

I'll take some better pictures tonight I took those with my phone last weekend. I wasnt sure how to post pictures but then figured it out. 1 of the letters to me is a little off. They look really good in person you cant really tell. Each letter is approx 3.2 inches apart but I measure from where the letter ends since its in Italic for example the E slants to where the top extends farther than the bottom. So I measure from where the letter really ends i hope I made my self clear.

Love the look... Which finish did you choose what material and your Italic looks way different thn theirs...

The Sport letters are independent, so you can put them as close together or as far apart as you wish. I was thinking of ordering the Sport letters simply because I am hoping they are curved a bit to match the slight curve in the rolloff of the hood. They might lay a bit better than flat letters that are then bent a bit to match the curve of the hood.

I chose my own font. I looked online and found it to be the closest match. I picked the font CONCELIAN, its not they're standard letters instead they are custom made with the size I chose. I chose 1.5 tall and they're about 2.45 inches wide. Just a warning they're not the chrome you expect but if you look at the pictures you can see the side of the letters are black. When they first arrived I was a bit disappointed to see that they weren't true Chrome but after I installed it I would say it looks good and works well. The total cost was about $120 for the letters a bit pricey I would say but whatever I got what I wanted. So I just used the picture from the sema show that shows the front view of the grill and hood to try and match the positions of the letters. I ended up starting them aligned with the edge of the grill and spaced them about 3.2 inches apart. I used regular tape to set them up before I really placed them on to have an idea of how they will look. Also i used a small strip of tape to align at the bottom of the Hood to get each letter to be at the correct height. Good Luck let me know if you have any other questions.
