I'm thinking about selling my explorer before i head out to iraq this winter. its a 1995 explorer xlt with the following mods:

headers
flowmaster exhaust
mac cold air intake
brand new tires
secondary tranny cooler and filter
bypass oil system with precharger
amsoil sythetic fluids in everything
new paint job

I've spent about $2500 in the past few months to get her where she is today, not to mention the time and effort. The interior interior and exterior are both in excellent condition with no flaws whatsoever.

I'm wondering what my asking price should be for?

How many miles? 4x4? I assume its an Auto tranny? It all really depends on the amount of miles. I would say anywhere from 3000 on up to around 4500. Maybe. I'm just guessing, I don't really know what Explorers go for anymore.

check blue book then adjust for your mods....keep in mind that you cant add in the price you paid for those mods, but you can ask more than what bluebook will give you. but that will give you a starting point.

Ive found that the nada values are a lot more realistic than blue book in most cases. You can check it out here .
