Well, finally found what I have been searching for. 1989 Ranger Ex-Cab 2wd 4 banger 5 speed and manual windows. Going to pick it up tomorrow afternoon for $1000. Its a little rough here and there but for the money I cant really go wrong. Will post a pic when it get to the house.

Nice, Mark! What's the plans for it?

The plans right now are for it to take be back and forth to work and haul the dirt bike to the track on the weekends. But, and its a very big butt. A 302 T5 swap and some type of suspention work are in order. It will take a while to get all the parts to do this so I will just have to keep the 4banger from grenading under the hood till then. Anyone have a hook up on a late model disc break rear axle?

That would probly work, thank you Colin. So the old girl is still hangin in there. Looks like you are takin good care of her and I still miss her too. This ranger is a project my father and I have wanted to do for several years. Sence I was around 13 or so we talked of making a race truck of sorts. Well now I have the platform and camburg makes the parts .

Do you all know of anyone that repops headliners for these things... The one in this thing is nasty.

I finally got some pics uploaded. I have the complete cooling system ripped out as I was changing sparkplugs on this enginering nightmare of a motor. Why would you put 4 spark plugs under the intake assembly and altenator plus the coil pack is under the powerstearing pump. Anyway I broke the t-fitting on the bypass return line to the pump joy joy. So I have half the motor lying around now.

I never really looked in there, but if there is anything in "the box" that you need let me know.

there should be a set of procomp 5 or 6 inch lights in there and a set of radius arm bushings if you dont need them it would help me out a little
