i need information on ways to lift the explorer the cheapest.

welcome

you can get 2 more inches pretty cheap by using extended shackles in the rear, and coil spacers on the front. If you go any higher than the 2" you will need to start dropping the pitman, and the TTB to even up the front end angles. You will have to have your alignment re-done after your install the spacers, and the TTB front end is notorious for bump steer, but with only 2" it should not be horrible..

lift

i want about 3 to 4 inches of lift and i know that you can get shackles but can u also leafs over the axles to with new shocks and springs in the front. yes or no. what is better.

If you want more than 2" on top of what you already have, then you need a full lift, including drop brackets and springs. If you don't, you won't be able to align it.

What size tire are you going to run with 6-7" of lift?

lift

i have 33" tires now i will keep those until the need to be changed. but i can't put the leafs over the axle.

lift

if i do that to the rear can i buy the parts to get the front level with the back cheaper than buy a whole lift

Hmmm.. well there is no "cheap" lift for the TTB to get over 2". the problem is that you need drop brackets for the front end when you start to go over 2" otherwise as stated you will not be able to align the wheels, and bump steer will push you all over the road.

i am looking for a front locker and rear locker. also looking for a lift for my 93 explorer.

did you look into an Aussie locker? they seem to be highly praised and pretty cost effective but you need to have open diff's to install them.

You can, but it will give you 5.5-6" of lift back there. The front can't go more than 2" and still be aligned without a true lift.

5.5-6" additional lift. So you would have 8.5-9" in the rear with the BL on there.

i never thought of aussie locker, but i can look into that. thanks. i have a 8 inch rear axle. how about a front suspension kit for sale or do i have to get a whole lift kit.

Usually kits are sold as either the front or both. So you should be fine to just get the front. Check craigslist in your area for anything that you can get used.

You probably have an 8.8 inch axle. The search tool on this forum will give you all the info you need. Check evilbay, and Craigslist for parts in your area. A little research will save you allot of head aches.

So I guess you gave up on the lift, or shackles, or ada leaf, or using the search button.
