Identify this connector

Need help identifing this connect on my explorer. It's clipped to the headlight harness. Here are some pics...

That's a trailer tow light connector but what in the hey is it doing attached to your headlights? Where exactly? I gotta go look--

I was thinking the same thing. However, I can't find it anywhere in my Ford shop manual. I have several of these things under my dash and truck so I'm sure there just test ports, question is, too what.
