I'm looking for a new SUV with a third row seat. All that's coming to mind is the Yukon/Tahoe/Sub. What else is out there that I'm over looking? I'm not a fan of the new Expeditions. I wouldn't have a delima if they still made Excursions. :(

ideas?

Put a shell on the SD! Does it need to be American and new?

Sequoias are nice.
Nissan Armada.

I'd rather it be both of those things. But it
doesn't need to be.

Sarah's brother has a Sequoia. Pretty nice.

I was hoping the new four door
JKs could seat 7. Lift it on 35s and call it a commuter.

Lift a Sequoia and put 35s on it. And since we have a Toyota sub-forum, you can learn all about it. :)

This means that there will be little tiny babies in the back seat?

why no Expo love?:dunno: You they have the EL in case you need more room. If I didn't need a bed at all, I would totaly rock one or maybe be a baller and get a Navi:cool: I think they look way better then the pre-03 body.

No a big fan of the chebys:thumbdwn: I drove one of the flex fuel ones back in the mid west on a buissness trip a few years back. What a piece of crap, thing almost stranded us a few times.

Old Co-worker had a Sequoia and it was nice, just don't ask me to help in yotas world domanation:rolleyes:

Can't help you with nissan

Does it have to be full size?

How about a flex or a Traverse/acadia/enclave/outlook.

Maybe a Kia Boreggo, they are nifty looking.

I would check into the reliability of the GM products. It hasn't been too good from what I've seen and heard.

New?

If you are looking for used Yukon/Tahoe/Sub, consider 2000-2001. One of my co-workers was considering one, and his mechanic told him to get 00-01. He said later ones had alot more unnecessary wiring, and problems relating to it.

Can I offer some advice?
or at least something for you to think about...

When I was shopping for my explorer.. one of my main "requirements" was a 3rd row seat. Ended up with a 04 XLT with 3 rows of leather.

Now since Ive gotten it...3 yrs ago.. Ive used the 3rd row seat .. maybe twice...3 times? Its always folded down.

And usually when you're carrying that many people.. there's stuff to go along with it. Once the 3rd row is up... not much room behind it.. by the time I put a folded stroller on its side and close the gate, there's no room left. And I end up piling suitcases and bags inside the truck.

Not saying its not useful, but usually when there's a lot of people to carry, there's usually a lot of stuff too.

Plus.. if you live where its warm, make sure you get rear air too... a front only system just doesn't cut it when your in the 3rd row.

Thanks for all the suggestions. :)

Froader... that Sequoia is siiick! I'll send it to the boss and see what she thinks.

IZ.. you know I can't take care of myself. Let alone tiny babies!

My main objective here is something that will haul six people comfortable... fairly regularly. I forgot about the Navigator. Just checked it out. Pretty bling.

I like it! :D

Wait dont you have a restriction on how high it can be because of the future payload?

The TDI. I only have that, the Explorer, and the Super Duty now.

Nice. If we roll anywhere with 6 people we take my Superduty. It's plenty comfortable with 4 people in the backseat.

I personally don't care for the Excursion as much as I used to, probably because I've owned 5 of them, but they make it tough to keep the 3rd row and fold down all the seats flat (although you want it new).

How about an Escalade Hybrid since you're on the green kick with your TDI?
