j602's 2wd Beast

let me collect the situation here.

- SOA + Warrior Shackles in the rear?

- 6" drop brackets and whatnot up front? or are they the 4" drop brackets with 6" coils+camber shims?

---

8" coils with those 2.75/3.00 camber bushings would be a good idea, if you have 6" axle pivot drop brackets.

if you have the 4" drop brackets with the 6" coils then 8" coils or spacers are out of the question, you would have to resort to a body lift. unless you wanna dish out the extra $$$ for new axle pivot brackets.

i still think you should just take out the warriors haha.

---

Like I said before, there's some stuff like brake lines that are already pretty stretched, so I just don't wanna go up much further suspension wise.

what, wait. how stretched are they? to their MAX? are they stock or extended ones? Have you tried flexing through the suspension cycle? do they bind/stretch?

dont mean to nit-pick, just tryin to assess the position.

Noooo, I think that came out a little wrong. They're Skyjacker stainless steel extended brake lines, and no they're not completely stretched out or binding or anything. They're not even close to that at regular height. I have flexed it out pretty good and they held up fine. What I meant was, if I go any higher, I might be in danger of breaking them, if I flex it too much.

I have the full 6" kit (axle pivot drops, coils, everything) with 2" coil spacers. So really, 8" coils wouldn't do much at all. I also figured out that the driver side sits about an inch lower from the weight of the gas tank and driver. The passenger is only about an inch lower than the back. The driver side is about 2" lower. So, I'm just gonna go ahead and do the body lift, and probably swap my springs to the opposite side.

On another note, I got the cutout in! Woot! After going to the ***s at Meineke and being told they wouldn't do it if it was in front of the cat, I went to Midas. Those guys are cool. They don't give a ****, and will do anything you want, becuase you know what? THEY MAKE MONEY FROM IT! I don't think Meineke understands this. Anyway, took the guy 10 minutes to weld it up, and they charged me 20 bucks. Not too bad, I just wanted it done. Here's some pics. Video will be up shortly. :D

Understand now Bryan? :p

Wanna buy my body lift when i take it off?

Nah cause it's 3". I gotta have the whole 2" kit. Sorry man.

My editing program is having a spasm. I've tried twice to finish it without success. I should be able to get up in a little while.

*taps his foot repeatedly in anticipation*

Heh heh. I finished it. Being converted now to a manageable form.

Finally got my CB setup finished. I custom fabbed a taillight mount for the antenna and got it to work right the other day. Uniden CB, Radioshack 4' fiberglass antenna. Here's some pics. And sorry about the horrible quality. I don't know why this thing sucks so bad at close up pictures. I'll get a good pic of the whole truck with the antenna later.

On a very sad note, it was not a good day for the truck. I was about to hit some mud with some buddies, went to crank up, and my starter blew. Replaced it to find out that my flywheel might be fawked also. Me and the old are ripping it apart tomorrow. Hopefully it's only metal caught in the flywheel and not a locked engine. :( So, my plans for a locker are bumped until more funds arrive. Also hope to have the slanted body lift and subs/amp in the near future also.

Got some silverstars a couple days ago. The install could not have been easier. About 2 minutes for the first, and 1 for the second. They're very nice; crisper, cleaner, and brighter than the stockers. I like 'em.

My body lift is on the way, as are some taillight guards from CarFreak. I hope to be able to get a hidden/ tube style hitch soon also.

BLA complete!

The "Body Leveling Adjustment" (2" slanted body lift) has been successfully completed! Took about 6 or 7 hours, with a few breaks in between. It was REAL easy, mainly because we've already been through this once before, and because we didn't have mess the rear numper/hitch. The spacers were cut with a ban saw, which worked pretty well. Turned out exactly how I had hoped for, so I'm real happy with it. Sits about damn near perfectly level now. Only things that need to be done are some tweaking here and there with the bumper and brush guard.

Also, I washed it for the first in something like 3 months. I waxed it with a quick spray on wax and it turned out real clean. Anyway, enough talkin', here's the pics.

I have a hidden/tube style hitch coming so that will be on within the next week or so. Possibly a locker in the near future, or finally putting in my 2 10's.

Sounds like someone else I know. :D The X looks really good. Almost ready for 37s. ;)

You know what would really suck? If you put in those subs and the truck is not level anymore. :D

looks really awesome! so you have 9" of lift now?

Sweet! Lookin' good. How much did that new paint job cost you?

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

Bryan - Lol, I knew someone would say that. And yes, that would majorly suck, and I have had the exact same thought myself. This is probably the most perfect setup for 35's, so no 37's till it goes higher. :D

95offroadx - I think about 8 or 9", it's really hard to say.

TheFox88 - I got it done at Maaco over a year ago for around $380 I think. So far it has held up great with the exception of some paint peeling on the inside driver side wheelwell (Not a big deal though).
