hey people, just felt i should let the world know that JL subs own! i have 3 10" JL w0's. i got a JL 250 amp. it hits the 3 10s perfect. JL is rather expencive but worth every penny because the quality that it delivers is matched by no other that i have heard. i also installed 4 tweeters and 4 10" red neons under each seat. the head unit i have is an older Blaupunk model, but i am getting the sony xplode m630 head unit sometime next week. do you think thats a wise decision?

JL's are great subs my brother has three 10 W0's and they pound and sound so sweet,I have two 12 inch W3's with and Orion extreme amp and they make some sweet thumpin in the back of my ride.I am not sure about the deck but i have had two sony decks and i like them Maybe Lee will see this and give you his opinion he is the man when it comes to audio

I've had 3 different Sony HU....the only reason they have been replaced....is cause I wanted to Upgrade....I see an Upgrade coming soon too.

My Sony HU lasted four years

maybe the faceplate didn't, but that's another story.
Good stuff. Got a JL 10w6 in a stealthbox. One of my best investments.

sony headunits are great. i really think they are worth every penny. too bad they no longer offer the ES series.

Ok...I wouldn't go THAT far. There are a lot of other companies out there that are far superior to JL. Granted JL is a good company, there are others that match and exceed JL's "quality"

there are lots of great companies that make car audio equipment. there is no "best"
no one company is the best at everything. for example. clarion makes great headunits. but their amps and speakers need improvement.

but anyway, if you want to know what companies are some of the best, i'll name a few:
Memphis
MMATS
Zapco
Eclipse
Crossfire
US AMPS
Boston Acoustics
etc...

the list could go on for miles. if someone tells you that a certain brand is "the BEST" it is usually just personal preference.

None of those brands come anywhere close to the JL Audio W7s also, Jl Audio also has amazing amps. the JL Audio 1000/1 is far far better then any other amp which says it is powered at 1000 watts. Might cost more but what you get for it, its worth it.
