You guys you guys you guys!!!
I jacked it up and it went thru the gears at idle, and wheel speed was indicated. I shifted it manually, and let it do it's thing.. The shifts are nice and firm, with no delays. Awesome!!!
SO hmm, I put it back down and whatya know--??
I feel like an idiot. Sorry for all this.
I tried again to get it up the drivway while my friend Jimmy watched. At this time I might note the new radius arm bushings I have in the box to replace the worn and gapped ones. He said "your tweaking your front end".
Sure enough, as I stated earlier when I said it felt like the brakes were applied--something up front is hung up. Brakes? I sure feel a difference when applying them though
I need Dana 44 with front disc brake early bronco guru input here.
The hubs are "Pro Comp" and rotate freely from the locked to free position, where they are now.
I might add. The 4x4 lights either do not work, the buttons don't work, or I don't know how to do it correctly. I pushed the 4x4 button and no light ar anything. phoeeuy. It may very well just be a wiring, or fuse issue. Haven't gotten there yet-
Anyway--this now seems not to be an engine issue, rather, it is a driveline issue. This will get me out from under the hood at least. At this point I feel the engine is fine and I was side tracked, while dragging you all down with me. Dayummmm.
on with the program?
