Well, I should have known better. Lack of proper planning and measuring has me in a pickle.
I am such a newbie at this.
I was planning on using my existing radius arm bracket-crossmember thingy for my new radius arms. After measuring back the required 11 3/4" I see the frame widens a bit and makes me say phooey. So, I need to build another or build from this one--nice. This may take a minute.
So, I decided to dig deeper ahead as the reason for extending the arms was supposed to be so my sliders would fit.
Wrong again. The 1st gen gas tank will not allow the driver side rear slider bracket. That means either drilling thru the frame with new holes on that bracket--
welding the sliders on, or just starting over with another weld on set. I don't see how to get a bolt on bracket in the gas tank area as the tank seems to protrude into the C channel of the frame.
does anyone want to build a radius arm bracket for me?
Oh, I also called the upholstery guy about making the top. He hasn't even priced the material yet

He said he was " going to order another catalog"
I told him I could find the material all over the internet, and to give me a dang measurement of how much is needed.
