Kazer's 96 Camaro Z28 Project

Well i stepped back and pictured them on there and i think the gunmetal/polished lip will clash with the white calipers and white Grand Sport stripes that i'll be putting on. So a solid color it is. and Jon, the color is Hyper Black, and from my understanding, is a lighter than the gunmetal and very similar to graphite

If they go too dark, all you're going to see is a bunch of painted white parts against unpainted undercarriage, which may look, um... JMHO.... :)

you're killin me Joe! haha. Hey do you do engine detail work? i'm thinkin about a road trip in you're direction for a full cut and wax and detail of the engine after fresh paint if you change a decent price :D

Maybe, when you get close to when you want to do something, give me a shout...

I can't make it run like a Ford, but It'll look good...! :D

Looking good! Isn't the ASR traction control? Did you relocate that switch?

ASR=Acceleration Slip Regulator...so yeah, Traction Control

i removed the switch. since i swapped to a 3 channel abs rear axle, the asr and abs lights will stay on. I was told that ASR was garbage anyway and i will removed the module for it, but i can convert this axle to a 4 channel if i buy the 4 channel axle shafts to replace the 3 channel ones. for now, i'll just removed the bulbs behind the cluster. Out of sight, out of mind lol

Gotcha. My buddy has a 00 camaro w/ a v6 and 5 speed, it has the ASR. I don't know how it works in the snow or anything but it sucks in the mud. Yes, we got a camaro stuck in mud. With the ASR on it wouldn't rev the engine over like 2k RPM even with your foot planted. The only reason the car got stuck was due to the ASR. Once he turned it off and got the wheels spinning faster to clean the mud out we were golden. Plus with the ASR on you can't do a burnout!

Who needs traction control?!? :D

Who needs traction control?!? :D

Not This guy :D :burnout:

and yeah i did a little more research, guess it's not that easy to remove ASR, so i'll just pull the fuse and cover the light behind the cluster

This is almost factory ride height. Don't know if my springs are all weak or what, but it seems lowered...and i only have a 1" drop in the rear

Also, me and a friend bleed the brakes and the pedal still goes to the floor with ease. Not sure what we did wrong....anybody have ideas? i guess itll go back on jacks for a re-bleed on friday

Doh! Forgot to bench bleed the master clylinder..... i'm an idiot.

Its looking like a fun project. Sorry if I seem negative but I've always heard that the T top versions have a bad problem with leaks what are you going to do to stop that. (just don't want you having that pretty leather getting mold or something.)

I've had a few friends with t top 4th gens who havent had problems so idk. I dont plan on driving it in the rain and there's a spare garage here(I live with my parents) to keep it in when im driving the explorer

My buddy had a 91 with t tops, no issues with leaks. They are nice.

Got my felpro gaskets, ARP header bolts, new master cylinder, and Hooker cat-back in today. gonna wait for the next paycheck and pick up an fti 3600 stall, then the car goes under for surgery... Mail in tune will be post op

I swear this is the last post about rims

I think i'm indecisive.....but i'm not sure....:D

This is advertised as "Hyper Black"

Am I too late to the party to cast my vote for spending your money on the first set? The split 5 spoke looks awesome on just about any car.

The white suspension/brake component color is an interesting choice.
