OK, I just ordered some of the 57LEDs bulbs in amber 3157.
Will let you know about brightness in the next couple of days.

I would think so. I dont want the quick flashing and I do still have the resistors from when I tried some a couple of yrs. ago. Just hope I can find them.....

Mike, do you need that short corner trim piece on your Limited? My 99 was that color to start with, and I may have that still. I ended up with two pairs, I can't remember which didn't get painted.

I'll look into those lights soon for my 98, thanks for the link.

How much brighter/different is the 57 LED light compared to the 28 LED light? Did anyone ask them that?

Can't you just use a non mechanical flasher? I have an all electronic flasher and it doesn't do the hyperflash when I hook up my trailer.. The only downside I have found is that it doesn't hyperflash when a bulb is out, but I wouldn't think it would if you used a resister pack either.

Well, sorta. I think I-M said it was brighter than the regular bulbs. Which would make it brighter than the 28LED bulbs. I'll let you know in a few days after I get them.

MANIAK I dont know what kind of flasher I have or what I would need as I do pull a trlr. and what I have now works great. Since I (think) already have the resistors I'm gonna go that way.

I hope you enjoyed all that work...

they do the same thing unfortunately... only work I did was some clicking

I ordered a set of these lamps to test as backup lights.

They arrived today and I installed tonight. I was very dissapointed with the light output. It was not even close to my current bulbs.

See for yourself. The driver;s side is the new LED lamp and the passenger side is my current lamps.

haha theres a point proven... those others will def help somewhat, but u never know what ur buying... when ur doing ur own custom board and u have the ratings of all the LEDs already listed, u kno what reliability ur getting

I just bought and installed the same 57 led lights.

Don't have the pics off my camera yet but with some visual tests compared to the old stock bulb my opinion is that the color of light is different which makes it appear brighter when looking at it versus the stock bulb... BUT.. the stock bulb throws more light.. this was tested by holding a book equal distance from both and being able to read via the stock bulb, but not the new 57 LED.

What kind of bulb do you have in the non LED side in the pic aldive? It looks like a much more drastic difference than I had..

:)

eek.. just took the pics of my camera, apparently I should have taken them outside of the garage.. too close..
left is led, right is stock, 5 year old bulb..
