I just shipped my grill to Jon for him to coat. Although I only live like 3 hours from him so shipping was super cheap.

can you do a high lift jack in blue? i'd send it too you if its decent priced shipping

First, some smoked chrome Ranger steering knuckles-

It's official. My wife gave me the go ahead to disappear from our vacation in Wisconsin this summer to pay a short visit to Humboldt, KS for some TMH work. While there, I'd like to powdercoat my entire Eddie Bauer. Any chance you'll be upsizing the take the entire body in the oven. :D

Nice, I have a new Torker that I need to use some day.

stupid question i know, but you cant coat plastic right?
I can, but it doesn't come out looking like it went in. Sometimes in a bad way. There are so many plastic variations, it is too hard to say for sure.

For example, the plastic rear glass handle on 95-97 is very tough. I've even coated, saw the mistake, stripped and re coated one.

On the other hand-I tried a set of first gen plastic center caps with the metal layer stripped off
they bubbled before the powder even flowed well.

Now, if there is a metal layer, like a chrome grill for instance-
this will hold shape pretty well, and, since the metal layer is so thin, it reaches temp very fast. This is good for curing.

My new wheels--

after blasting

I then shot a base coat in hopes of doing a 2 toned scheme

mirror black. In the foreground wheel you can see the ceiling reflection in the spoke---

Well, the 2 tone didn't go as planned, so I decided on smoked chrome

And here is the result after clear

Depending on angle the spokes are either lighter or darker than the surround, I don;t know if you can catch it from the pictures

Those look great, better than original. Isn't that the same as the Sport Trac wheels that I have?

They may be--
these are from jenren81's 2003 sport
The center caps will be modified Grand Marquis plastic caps
I'd like a set of metal ones--

So will you be able to do the plastic center cap well? I'll be looking at plastic differently from now on.

.....you continue to amaze me Turdle lol

have thought about sending you some FMS headers I just got off of expo5.0, we'll see after i pay this semesters bill
