Let's see, what can I powdercoat today?

Just curious Jon, have you tried to do those exhuast tips yet? I mean this is not something I am trying to rush but I was just wondering how hard/easy they are if you have...
I just got my compressor running yesterday-and worked in this because he needs to put it on his truck Monday--actually he needs his truck running by monday--
I still need to ship this to Oregon, soooo--you're next.
I am sorry for the delay.

They will be quick and easy though-I should ship them no later than Thursday.

Np, I completely understand priorites...

I have been following your "I need air thread" over at DMI, I am glad you got it running...It was starting to drive me crazy just reading about your situation and it wasn't even happening to me...

To be honest-I have trouble sleeping. it's just a thing--
The color is Mirror chrome-130 percent gloss .How the gloss can go to 200 percent, you got me:confused:

I think I you just gave me my new question for shamaal "How do arrive upon 200% gloss?", Damn I don't know the answer to that one so if he some how by miracle doesn't know it then I can't stump him cause I don't know it myself

O boy, Here is a picture of my face this whole week....:D between getting this tips done and parts coming in for the 4406 swap I am just so excitied

I can't wait to get the tips mounted, I mean 2.25" pipe flows plenty for me, but it just looks weird when looking from the side, so hopefully the 3" exit will help that..

Sparky-
I hope this is what you had in mind-

Smoked Mirror chrome 160 percent gloss
The true color is hard to capture, because it changes-but it is kind of between these

YES!
Keep me busy PLEASE!!!

The intake manifold is awsome, do you have plans for the cover plate? I just wish we could have done mine while I was down there.

You bring up a good point Eric--
He is trying to decide whether to leave as is-
or should I fill the "low" area around the characters with black?

Hey guys I need opinions. Should I have Jon paint my "5.0L V8" emblem thats on my intake plaque cover black or leave it like that? For a nice contrast should the actual letters be painted black or the low spot that surrounds the letters?

Find someone with Photoshop to play with the colors. A combination of that finish and black would look great. I'll try to build my custom intake with a flat top for an Explorer name plate.

I say have him do the low spot the color of your Explorer & leave the 5.0 the chrome finnish.
