The wheels look great! Can't wait to get them back on the truck. Too bad the wireless at the hotel died last night just as Sheri was telling me how awesome the wheels looked. I had to wait almost a whole 24 hours to see how they turned out. :(

No pics of those super-sweet antenna mounts? I see how it is =p

Here are the wheels on my truck. I didn't get a chance to wash it today, so I will have to take some more after if get it all cleaned up.

How did you do that black trim around the bottom?? Hurculiner? Sweet wheels by the way. I really like the sport wheels better than my sawblade alloys, anyway, so I am biased :D

Beautiful Work Jon! I keep missing these updates, is there a way to be permanently subscribed to this thread?

p.s. Jon, have you given a thought to opening up the Turdle's PowderCoat Beer n Breakfast Day Spa & Retreat yet?? Special wkend rates for Explorer Forum members.

It is roll on bed liner, but I think it is the Duplicolor brand. I don't remember. Oh and here are some pictures of the truck cleaned up for you Jon.

That does look very good Matt. Thanks

It makes me smile to think of the trucks I have had a hand in, that is what it is all about for me.

THAT right there is my definition of a perfect compromise between off-road toughness and on-road coolness. Sweet truck...do you sell posters??:D

Yeah there is. Go to Thread Tools on the upper right hand side of the thread, below the page numbers and select "Subscribe to thread." DONE!!

I have been subscribed to Turdle's thread for almost a year now and loving every minute of it!!

Dan,
Thanks-And I agree, every pic of Jons powdercoat work is awesome. Maybe its age, but I dig the pics better than Hefners mag.

Matt,
Your sport looks great. I used Duplicolor Truck Liner on my side steps and it is holding up pretty well (did have them sandblasted and primed first though).

Well, so far to date this one was my most challenging project. Between blasting, re welding and blasting again, figuring a hanging mechanism, not to mention getting help for moving it around. Man this barely fit in the oven.

They asked me to add some blue to the eyes, and red for the lips, with the remainder antique gold vein. This meant 3 times in and out of the oven. Good thing it has an overhead trolley.

I hate to admit it, but it has kinda grown on me. I think it would fit in with some tiki poles.

Not quite as complex as the above--

Turdle coated my fuel tank skid plate/shield for my Rzr (originally was natural aluminum).

VERY cool. My UI/elbow and valve covers are prominently displayed in the ad. :D

So
I gave Rick An orange and black cover a while back. Too bad it wouldn't fit over his air locker--extreme sadness.

Rick made an executive decision. The next best thing was to use it as an award. I said whatever, it is yours so do what you like. Just so everyone knows, Rick donated it, not me. I just want him to have the credit.

R.J. was the lucky winner.

Now, I like orange , however, I didn't think it went well with Robby's truck, so, I begged him to let me bring it back home to re coat it.

I couldn't get him to fix on a color, so, took it into my own hands.

The highlights are candy blue, I think they will set off the blue on those Shocks he uses.

Hope he likes it.
