Alright so I wanna buy this 6.5" I beam lift with bent radius arms of a 94 ranger. And I'm wondering if it will fit my first gen expo.

yes sort of the front will work but relocate your axle under the spring and add a leaf should get your rear up as high as the front shocks in rear are different

no i don't think it will. I believe the pick up points for an i-beamed ranger and explorer are different.

...check with rangerX...he has parts for sale and can tell you the info you seek...plus he is in oceanside...;)

No they are the same. The 2 and 4wd have different mounts only. You just have to find another kit to get the rear up.

...for the rear soa, a.k.a. spring over axle, with possibly a shackle set to level if needed...:D
...don't quote me on this but i heard mod ray lobato was one of the first to take ranger lifts and put them on an X...he also would be a good source for info...;)

yeahhh i knew i would have to do a soa in the rear. but im not looking to get 6 inches in the back. maybe like 3 cause ha i live in sd and the cali lift is what i like.

Also what do you think is the biggest tires i can get on with it not rubbing??

...i'm and cali and have a cali lift...the thing is, what do you plan on doing with your truck...that determines how you set up your suspension lift...;)
...just to put a lift on your vehicle could cost you money if it does not perform for your needs...btw, there is a tire size chart that even has lift sizes on this sight...:D

Well i pretty much do everything. I want a lift that will hold up to me jumping it in the dunes and still ride really nice on the streets. Idk i know what i want its just hard to explain.

...search, return from pismo and a couple other pismo threads...that should help you find what you are looking for...:D

I'm guessing when you say I-beams, you're talking 2WD, and that's not something I know about. :dunno:
If they were both 4x4, it would work no problem.

...actually donner, it's the reverse...the fronts higher...;)

Oh, the prerunner look...

ya whats a cali lift???

...actually donner, it's the reverse...the fronts higher...;)

Understood... I'm just curious because someone outside of CA asked what it is and they didn't get an answer worth posting. So, Cali look is the flared out front fenders with the front raised... and the stinkbug is just the rear higher than the front end.

The difference between Cali and prerunner would be the flared out fenders? Or with Cali, there is no flared out fender?

...you are correct on all...the pre-runner, cali look is the same i believe...some is the look (cali), the rest is the suspension(prerunner)...cali is the on road version and the other is for desert and dunes....
...there is alot more technical stuff but i'm sure the deff's are pretty accurate...if not someone else will chime in with a better deff...:D
