Spacers

Daystar had coil spring spacers 2 inches, on the market but took them off due to stress on control arm and ball joints wearing out in about 3 months, thats a little to fast for my wallet!!

Rino351, were talking about the 3rd generation Ex's. The daystar spacers you posted are for 1991 to 1994, don't think they will fit a 2003!
I have talked with daystar personally and the spacers for the 3rd generation Ex's they took them off the market (800) 595-7659.

actually I was interested in some for my 94... I'm not sure if they will wear out the ball joints in 3 months... does anyone else have this mod on a 94?

Chris--sorry about that, My Bad :banghead:
ccanuk-- these will probably work. I will get some if the sale falls through with a guy close to me :)

rino351 thats alright, i wish i had my 1992 Eddie B 4x4 back, there is nothing on the market for these 3rd generation ex's yet that has been tested to work for a long period of time, guess i will have to just wait or trade the dang thing in on something else!

i have a newbie question for you guys... i have a 98 Explorer XLS, with 15's... what would be the best size tires to get for the oem rims? 30x9.50R15 or 31x10.50R15?? I want the biggest i can fit, and look the best...

thanks

GO with 31x10.50R15
I have 1995 2 wheel Drive and barely moved the torsion bars to fit the 31x10.50 BF.Goodrich All Terrain KO'S
and it is a very nice looking and agressive tire.
can't wait till we move back up north in a few months from this very Hot florida and I can try them out in some snow!!

do you have pics? i am also really considering the bf all terrain's...

should this lift my explorer up a bit with these tires? how off is your speedo? and what do u mean by moving the torsion bars??

sorry, im still a newbie at this stuff :)

yes I do nad not sure how to upload them to this page. Maybe i think only certain people can upload pics.
If i am wrong please let me know.
i would lift it but just a little bit. torsion bars. just do a search for TT, which is what everyone here calls it.
my speedo was off to start and actually now it is corrected.
I had to put a different cluster in which worked perfect minus 30,000 miles lol almost got all of them back already.but i think the speedometer adj is so minor.
thanks

hey guys what is the most i could lift my X in suspension and body without changing the brake and shocks. if these too changes are easy and inexpensive I'll do it then....any feedback appreciated

WOW. Over 200 posts. I cant read through them all so...

Has anyone ever ran into clearence issues running 31 10.50 15's on a 98 V8 AWD, specificaly? I understand that most have no problem with this setup. Any feedback?

I would run TT and Warior shackles with this setup.

a couple of people are running that setup and there are no problems whatsoever with it ;)

Can a Mod add this to the first post in the list:

2nd Gen:
2" body lift + 1-2" suspension lift + Perrys fenders: 35x12.50x15 on 15x10 rims. Slight plastic trimming in rear, bend pinch weld up front, none to very little rubbing (TT depending)

And looks good ;)

Need answers, PLEASE!!!

I have a 1994 Ford Explorer 4X4. I bought some Eagle Alloy 15"X10" (55 series I believe) and would like to know what all is needed to make these wheels fit suspension and BL wise without the tire rubbing. I was planning on running 31/12.5/15 truxxus. No one has metioned 15"X10" for some reason. Are they too wide? I know I will need some fender flares. I just wanted a wider stance and i got a really good deal on the wheels. Thanks in advance for any help!

Does anyone know If I can fit 32x11.00x(16) with a 2"TT & WAR on a 96 eddie

You might have some rubbing, but you could probably stuff them in there.
BTW- What tire is it that comes in that size? I've never seen that size before.
