look good so far danny keep up good work

Do you still have the old right fender? Don't throw that away, you need it to make a template for the flare holes. I bought fenders that came from a pre-99 with holes, which are different holes than the 99-01 fenders. Thus I need to drill holes too, but I don't have the old fenders.

It's far easier to spend 15 minutes tracing the old holes onto a poster board template. Then the hole locations will transfer very fast to the new fender.

Theres so much little tweaking thats going to need to be done to this its not even funny! At least its drive able and what not, right? Rolling around with its 20's and being lowered and looking like that is pretty ghetto! I love it!:salute:

Yeah I have the old one :) I should make that huh?

Let me rephrase that, I still have my left fender to make a template from. I forgot that, I had thought that it was not usable, my body man told me that I should have.

Now begins all the aliment days! This **** is ####ed! Trying to get all the gaps right is going to be A LOT of work wow! But I have all the time in the world! So yeah the only paint this thing will be seeing anytime soon will be a white can of spray paint :) I cant even get the hood completely latched!

Looking good man! Alittle tweaking and you'll be good to go. Seems like it didn't take you long to get everything together.

not bad danny, i should have got you to help out with ol evil! start at your hood gap at the back, and work your way forwards. line up your fenders to the hood. if anything that was bent is now strait enough, everything should fall into place. BTW, i never knew your cowl panel was painted white as well, that looks pretty good, i like that!

Haha yeah! snazzy :)

cut out the core support and weld in a new one, it was $65, that was the only way I was able to get my front clip all together and lined up like factory

Do you still like the painted mirrors and cowl pieces? I've been on the fence about those, and the "B" pillars for a long time.

not to be repetitive, but its honestly coming along nicely man, good work.....really....

i never cut out my old core support even though I should have. i bent it back out enough to line the fender up straight and left it. you cant tell until you look down through betweent he header panel and the core support. my hood doesnt line up 100% either danny.. i got it decent, theres still a good gap between it and the drivers side fender, but it shuts nice after playing around with the alignment of the latch.

if i had to do it over again.. new core support, deffinetly.

The problem being I do not know how to weld. How much would a shop charge for that? I have no idea? Let me know when you know the shipping on that grill!

I love everything painted. I don't want the pillars painted I like they look good with the windows. I think it would be an eyes soar if they were white.

Ask the alignment shop about the radiator support. It needs "frame work" and many alignment shops do that also. If it isn't pushed too far you can get away with just guessing at welding a new section in. If the body parts are moved around too much than a frame machine is the ideal way to fix it. They pull the body on the frame machine back to where it's supposed to be, then cut/weld the new part in place.

A pro should look at your truck and decide that. It sounds like you can do without the frame machine, but ask them. If the alignment shops does that work, they could do the inspection while they have your truck. I have heard of $500 being a low price for some basic frame work, which may be why a lot of people try it on their own.

Haha.. nice. I hear ya. You could always weld on another one on there if it's that mess'd up. I see them online all the time, they don't seem to be that expensive.

A little? That core support is still so ####ed I don't know what I'm going to do!

The frame on the truck is fine its just that damn core support, I think Russ and I will just #### around with it trying to see what we can do to it. If it comes down to it I will take it into a body man. My friend is an apprentice at Able I wonder if he could use it as a learning tool?
