Moved to under the hood-
I believe though-now don't quote me, but if you look way back to the rear of the engine-where the distributor "would" be -if you had a distributor--

Its a ford, don't you mean the front :D

Whoops, my bad. LOL Not listed.

lol..thanks guys..ill try to find it..just got a bunch of crap on the top..will it be located on the top of the block or on the side??

and this is a 911 issue..cant go ridin until i find and replace this sucka!!hehe

Your not going to be able to look in the engine compartment and see it, it a toatl by feel thing!

i tried..but havent really felt anything..guessing its on the side of the block as opposed to being on top?

no it's half way down, right above where the top of the trans bolts in.

wow..was able to spot it from the side thanks to all the lift :) and then was able to get a hand on it..what a pain to get to..how did you guys align it with it being in that location??

IIRC there is a tool you have to buy like the one on a 5.0 but the tool is a bit different. Brooklynbay knows about this, send him a PM, maybe he can help with where to get one. I just looked where I got mine and they don't sell one for anything past 98.

yeah, i know you have an alignment tool..but how do you see the top of it since the location of the synchronizer puts it in a location not visible from the eye..its on a '96 block and the place where im gonna get the synchronizer sends the alignment tool with it..

where did you get yours??since this is on a '96 block they should carry it..

ok..i finally got the screw off..is the synchronizer supposed to just pull right out??its not wanting to budge at all..

Just to clarify-

if so-lift and twist--
