Yes, this is true. I was there last weekend doing a clean up run coordinated by San Diego 4 wheelers and 4 Wheel Parts. Due tothe new game sharing and other new financial incomes, the Tribal council has decided to close its doors to offroading. We still have some time though, and now there are no more vehicles or parts on the trails

Geez isn't that nice of them. You clean up the area you play in and then they close it. That takes some nerve.

Add to that the normal camping and day use fees. They must have made a couple thousand since there was at least 150 vehicles there.

Anyone heard anymore on this? Maybe one of us locals has the trail map with the phone number, and could call and verify, and get a closing date? I gotta go at least once more!!!

Bill, I first called Harry Lewellyn today and asked him if he had heard anything on a closing date, since he always schedules a weekend trip for his Ecological 4 Wheeling in July. He had heard something but no date, so I called the Indian Reservation and asked them. The word is that the offical closing date for any off-roading will be after Memorial Day. So your looking at June 1. Any time before that will be ok. The campgrounds will be the only thing remaining open after Memorial Day weekend. They will be putting up barriers on all of the off-road trails. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed on the trails after the closing dead line. So there you have it.

Paul, good to hear from you! Thanks for gathering the info. I guess there's time for several visits . I want to run all the trails once more, and that can't be done in one trip!

Los Coyotes!!

Hey Bill,

I'd like to get a couple more licks in too! Let us know when your heading out there.

I can get the time off for a lost coyotes run in late march/april.. I've never been there, but any run would be a good run!

I would drive down from Oakland on a friday, run saturday, sunday morning, and packup and leave sunday afternoon.

Just let me know, I'll be hunkering to try out everything I'm either fixing, replacing, or just junking..

How does April Fri 6, Sat7, and Sun 8. That is the weekend before easter. I will be in San Diego all that week so I am up for runs anytime that week.

Matt

That weekend works for me!

Mind if I join you guys for that weekend? My dad and I are going to Anza this weekend for an overnighter. Probably going to stop by Truck Haven for a quick run sometime during Saturday Afternoon if anyone wants to meet us there.
