I got a major problem guys....my truck is acting really crazy....I just towed my buddies Acura Integra from Louisville, Ky, back here to ATL, GA today...the problem is, when we get about 50 miles outside of atlanta, i stop to buy gas and when i get back on the highway and accelerate.....it wont come out of second, I look at the shifter to make sure it was in drive, I tap it and it falls into second, I move it to N and it thinks its still in 2nd....I pull over....Jiggle it and it goes to D....ok cool.....we make it to my friends shop, i put it in P and put on my parking brake like I always do and when I go to start my truck, it thinks P is R......when I move to R it goes right to N.....it starts in N I get it in D and its acting normal, I got back to N and it thinks its still in D.....what is going on?!?!?!?!

climb underneath, follow the shift cable to the side of the trans on the drivers side, it might be out of the metal brackets it sits in.
same thing happened to me right after the body lift, and it wouldnt start because it wouldnt go into park the whole way.

Agreed- sounds like the linkage has popped loose somehow...

I will get under the truck tomorrow and see.....I pray thats it, but honestly, the way its been acting, I think that its the shift solenoid
