hey guys I love this forum it has helped me so much. I just finished my 13inch lift and took it wheel'n and hated the d35ttb front. I used skyjacker parts but modfied it for the extra lift. My next goal is massive flex with a solid d44 front. I have seen some sammy's (suzuki samurais) with and RTI of 2080 on leaf springs. Anyone have some suggestions on massive flex, coil or leaf, though i prefer leaf for ease of installation, i think .

Ask and ye shall receive :D! This is where my Sammy is headed. All I need to do is replace my leaf springs with YJ springs, add a set of Dog Bone shackles, and I'm there!! I've already got everything else installed :D!!

BTW, here's the text that goes with the pix:
Fred Swanson's Wrangler sprung Zuk flexing it up on a 23* ramp.

Why Wrangler springs on a Samurai? Because the longer and softer the spring, the more flex and better ride you get. In 1995, Rocky Road (then Summit Off-road), designed and installed the first-ever Wrangler spring conversion system for the Samurai. At that time it was a weldon only setup. Due to the popular demand of the YJ springs, and in the spirit of our original ground-breaking creation, we have now designed the ultimate bolton Wrangler spring conversion system. If you're looking for some excellent bolt-on articulation for your vehicle, this cannot be beat. YJ springs are substantially longer than Samurai springs which provide for a ton more suspension flex than standard length springs. With the JP-Eater® kit, your rear springs are about 6" longer than stock; your new front springs are close to 9" longer than stock!!! The spring rate of YJ springs is also surprisingly plush which means you get a super comfortable ride in SPOA configuration. Our test vehicle pulled a 30" front articulation mark off our RTI ramp, and the rear goes even higher. Unheard of for a leaf spring suspension on such a short wheelbase vehicle!

Well, here are my flex pics after my SAS using coils. I'll get a little more once I trim the fender a little more. Front well is still hitting the tire.

i have read about your setup and its pretty good but I see similar flex with out my sway bars I want something extreme. Ricks orange explorer I like alot.

are there any write ups on SAS conversion?

I suppose there's a couple out there somewhere :o What's the big deal about RTI? Just because a vehicle can score high on the RTI ramp, doesn't necessairly mean it's a practical wheelin vehicle...
