ok i just replaced uppers and lowers today with new MOOGs. my question.. they look like they were greased already. but the little paper said to grease them so i did. my question is how do you know when there is enough grease in them? the dust boot has a overflow hole that will let excess out but it would have to be a lot to fill up the dust boot i would think. anyway, its been a long time since i've to use a grease gun on something and back then, you could always see the grease seep out of wherever when it was full. any ideas? thanks..

btw... i NEVER want to replace another ball joint

Put in at least enought that you see the boot expand. If it really does have an overflow hole, then keep pumping till you see clean grease come out.

thanks jeff. i wouldn't have thought to put that much in. guess i'll pump some more into them!

i never knew my truck could make so little clunking and popping! a quick test drive around the neighborhood revealed about 90% of the noise from the front end was gone.
