Tranny is in! I actually got it in last Thursday, but I was having computer issues with the inter web. My camera is having battery problems, but as soon as I fix it, I will post a bunch of new pics. I am going to be focusing on the dash and finish buttoning up the trans and whatnot, so I will definitely keep you all posted! Take it sleazy!:salute:

YOU @, glad to hear ya doing good bro!! PIC...I NEED PICS...ya know I going to hound ya till you post them!!
DUde...driveway Alignment.worked out good!! I no got pull to right no more...i going to adjust the gear box next...I think I can take a lil slop out of it...it ain't bad off...I just want to c if I can improve it a lil...well till you post again...keep working at it...and take-er EZ on the knee!!! Family MAN!!

IT'S ALIVE!!!!! I finished buttoning up the wiring and junk last night and crossed the fingers, said a prayer, and turned the key... nothing. WTF!!! O.K., no big deal, figure it out. So, I try turning the key forward again, and it seems the key cycle is off by one click. I have to turn it an extra click just to get the ignition to cycle on. What the freak is that all about?! I didn't remove the actual tumbler, so I'm confused as to why it would suddenly screw up. I got tired of thinking about it, so I decided to have my wife get in it, push in the clutch, while I jumped the starter at the relay... BIG sparks, then nothing... in fact, nothing at all, no lights on the dash, no interior lights, nothing. Checked battery, still good. Checked Fuses, no power to any of them... WTF AGAIN! Called it a few different kinds of *****es, shook the fuse box and, WA-LA! Lights! OK, Lets try this again. Clutch in, jumped relay, big sparks, starter clicks once, and again nothing. This is getting ridiculous. One more time, bunch of *****es, juggle wires, clutch in, relay jump, engine turns over... a bunch, no start. Now were getting somewhere! Again, this time with starting fluid, engine fires and dies. So at least I know its getting spark at this point. I tell the wife to cycle the key on and off a couple of times and the fuel pump isn't doing its job. Crawl underneath, all wires are connected, give them a few jiggles, again with the WA-LA, fuel pump cycles on, perfect. One last try before I call it a night... Fires and starts running! Sounds ridiculous because I haven't connected the cats and muffler back on yet, but it was awesome to hear it live again! I jumped in it and prepared for the first test run. Backed out of the driveway, aimed it into the field next to our house, and let out the clutch... loud as all hell, but driving like a champ! Try out second gear, works great! Hit 25 mph and BAM! It dies. Still have lights and whatnot, so dropped it into first again and popped the clutch... fixed! Turn it around to head back home and it dies again! Three more times of this and I make it back to the house. I was too tired to try and figure out what the issue is, so it looks like I have some fun ahead of me! Any ideas? I will post pics on here soon, just couldn't wait till it was running perfect to tell you all that she rides again! More when I get home. Take it easy!:salute:

sound like a bunch of grounds and loose connections...maybe even a few gremlins tried to help you while you were sick? I am glad to hear she is ALIVE again...I an sure it is a BEAST of a truck bro...keep us posted!!!

Gremlins are dead!

Sorry it's been so long since I posted anything. It's been freakin hectic with all the baby stuff going on around here! I have completely wrapped up the trans swap proccess and am proud to say, she runs like a beast! I'm thinking I need to service my bearings again. I have a little wobble on the front DS tire at about 30 mph., but it evens out with a little speed. I am also in the proccess of doing the write up on the swap with tons of pics for anoyone attempting the same swap, so be on the lookout for that in a few days or so. I'm still having problems with my digital camera, but I took a few with my phone to give you guys an idea of the turnout.

I'll try and get a video or two of her in action... I gotta be careful though, shes still not registered. I let it laps when I was spending money on the swap, now I have to smog it and register it this month. I'm hoping I can go to the next Truckhaven meet!

update?? u going to TH this year??:D

Will you link your shiny How To writeup to this thread so we'll all know about it instantly?

Sorry it's been a minute since I updated... She's all legal and ready to hit the streets and trails! I definitely plan on going to Truckhaven this year and I am bringing my buddy and he might be driving up his Isuzu Rodeo. You going to go StateFarmGuy?

And NAASAU, I will definitely be posting a link on here when I finish my Shiny How-To write up! My neighbor was trying to help me fix my computer and he accidentally erased all the pics I took during the swap! I almost threw up! We managed to download a program that enabled us to retrieve most, if not all, of the pics, so it's just a matter of finishing the write-up and posting the pics one at a time to see if they are all there! I'm not the worlds greatest teacher, but I hope that it will help people with the swap, as there was NOTHING available to me when I started it! Let me know if you guys are going to make it to Truckhaven and I will hopefully see some of you there!:salute:

Glad to hear that you were able to rescue some of the pics! I eagerly await them and the how to! As for Truckhaven... my Beast needs a bit more love before she's ready to join the ranks of the Terrifying. Hopefully by next year she'll be able to join in the fun.

Hey fellas! I got up the first draft of the How-to thread! Check it out and let me know what you think! Keep in mind it is just the first draft until I can get more pics of certain things and post them up. check it out!

Hell ya! I've only read half of it, but it looks damned good so far! (nice pics btw)

Just droppin' a quick note to say I'm not dead and neither is the Ex! I have been SWAMPED with baby stuff, which is a good thing in my opinion! I did have a chance to take it out today and get her a little dirty! I will post up some pics tomorrow if I get a chance! Also installed a push button start with kill switch. I will post some pics of it as well. Cheers friends! :salute:

Just a couple of pics of the mud... Kinda weak. Right after I blasted a couple of mud holes, I hit a huge pit of what I thought was mud, but turned out to be a monster water hole. It blasted a tidal wave of water over the Ex and hydro-locked the engine and washed off a bunch of the mud. That's why the front looks so clean! After a few (about 150) cranks, she started up again and I drove her out. I will get a couple of pics of the push button start on here soon as well.

BABY IS HERE!!!!!!!
She was born December 20th at 2:27pm. She weighed 9 lbs. 8 oz.! Her name is Paisley RaNee. I just wanted to share with my EF family! She is in NICU because she has respiratory stress and a high white blood cell count and low blood sugar, but she was also a c-section and the nurses said that could have an effect on those, so they are just watching her closely and making sure she has antibiotics and such. I will post up pics as soon as we can bring baby home! I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas and I will talk to you all soon!
