Hi Everyone,

I need some major help with my xploder. Here are the symptoms: when the explorer gets to normal operating temp and you put it in gear and start going down the road it trys to stall or what ever is does on you, the RMPS drop down a little and the come back up to normal but the car makes like a THUD noise when it does it. You come to a stop and it dies on you and have to fight to keep it running and once the light runs green and start to go it surges like its going to die again. This morning at 50mph it made the loud Clunk and thud noise like someone slammed into from the rear of the car, RPMS dropped some. I have changed the MAP senor and MASS airflow senor and had the tranny flushed. I'm at a loss. there is no check engine light on. I need help on this before the car gets some C-4 straped to it....lol. I love the car does great in the snow and ice and I don't want to let her go, But I don't know what else to do. So if any of you may have an idea, Please post it.
Thanks in advance.

what should it be reading at ?

Thank you for the reply so quick

It should read < 1v at idle-->4v at wide open throttle.
The voltage should rise steadily as you actuate the throttle. Watch for dips or spikes in the voltage.
Read it with the key on and engine off--

thanks for the reply on the volts, now this is going sound dumb, if not reading 1v, is it bad and just replace it or can it be fixed/ adjusted if how do you adjust it. I'm a girl and need all the info with pics most of the time. the car does this on and off, some days it runs great and others you fight tooth and nail to get from point a to point b and back. Thanks so much for all the help.
