I personally prefer monotone neon.. go blue all the way around IMO.. but be careful.. I have seen people around here with neon in their grill.. but I've never seen the same car like that twice.. meaning eithre they don't have it on all the time or they got pulled for it

If you want to be able to turn the front grill neon off, just get a Blue Sereis REpalacement Neon.

These come with a built in tranformer (built in to the blub) thus its a two wire hookup from the blub to your battery (or switch).

Its up to you...you can go all blue in color...or mabey get a yellow or somehing (yellow looks good with blue...mabey red to)

I got my neons today!! I'm psyched! But there's a catch...(isn't there always????) The X has to be in the shop tomorrow for an alignment...so hopefully I can get them in on Wed or Thurs!! But they should definately be ready for cruisin on the weekend!!!

Pics will be comin soon...right now I'm gonna go make sure they all work (maybe I'll check a couple times just so I can play with 'em!!)

Hehe...Matt, heres a funny story.

I was helpin my friend hook up his Green Gold Series underbody neons..and they wouldn't come on for soem reason. Being the idiot that he was, he touched both ends of the transformers wires. I swear to god, he jumped 5 feet off the ground. He said it hurt like HELL!!! haha, i laughed at him for like 30 minutes

I know you guys (DarkFox and Bmxboy) have the 95+, but maybe you have the same setup. I was looking under the 92 yesterday and it doesn't seem like there's much room between the spare tire and the rear bumper. I havent had time to physically check, but I was wondering: everything should fit fine right. Have you had any problems? A heads up maybe?

now you know why my tubes were broken twice it can fit.. theres enough space for the tube and thats it, the 1st shop I went to told me it was not possible because that spare moved.. well.. if someone tells you that, ignore them me and bmxboy know thats not the case heh.

for real its a tight fit.. if you have any problems.. you may wana move the tire forward a bit, I'm sure it can be done.

Yah, Matt, that was a prob., I pretty much moutned the neon like directly under my bumper. THus, theres a little black spot under my car, by the back (casue the neon light dosent get all the way under) im in the process of fixing this, by buying another 30" purple gold series neon to put under the car. By then, it should be completely purple.

Also, i just ordered 4 green 12" tubes to put in my wheel wells (gold sereis)..can't wait for them to coem!!!! and i got neons for all 6 vetns.

Actually I was looking at it, and I dont think it even has to go as high as the spare tire...

Don't I want the bulb right at the bottom of the bumper, so it can give the most light. If it's right at the bottom (end) of the bumper, the tire will not be in the way

bmx.. can't wait to see the wheel well pics.. I've been pondering that for about a year now, but I could never bring myself to do it out of fear of tacky-ness..

do you get the reactions that I do? people waving you down asking whats with the lights.. people at drive-thrus asking you how yo uhave lights coming from your car.. little kids pointing and getting their parents attention.. and the ever present theater parking lot cruise through? hehe, I love the neon and hate it at the same time.. I need some window tinting

Darkfox! I know exactly what your talkin about. Theirs two types of reactions from people:

Either they REALLY LIKE it, and yell out "dude thats amazing!" or some other **** like that,

OR

there are those retarded little ***s who constantly try to bring down other peoples cars and just point and laugh. Hey, i enjoy what ive done to my car, screw those kids (hm...seems like most of the kids at my school fall under this catagory, cept for all my car buddy friends)

Yah, window tint does sound kinda cool now that ive been thinking of it.....

Yeah what's the deal with that second group of people anyway??? There's always gotta be a select few (sometimes more) who just have to make of someone or someone's car, even if they like it! They will still be jerks cuz they think that's the cool thing to do! GROW UP!! Do they really thing that makes them cool?!? That's sooo funny. Cool is saying, "yeah, I don't really dig those neons, but hey if it floats that guy's boat then more power to him!"

last year I was at the beach on vacation.. I drove by a dude in his car and he did like.. the pinky and thumb hand synbol and said "gnarly dude!" I dunno if he was serious or was trying to be obnoxious.. either way.. I get that view a lot also. my friends say I'm a ricer cos I have clears and neon but if I'm a ricer.. it looks a ton better than an import

The people who criticise may just not like it.. ya know, I mean there are different opinions on everything.. but as long as you like your ride.. you can just ignore those people

The neons are on!! They look great! I LOVE THEM, no regrets.

BTW, Darkfox, for the record: the lights are blue!!

I took some pictures with the old old old digital camera, the pics totally don't do it justice. I am getting a really nice digital camera for graduation . Do you wanna see the crappy pics I got now, or just wait for the good ones.

Any tips on taking the pictures??

How hard were they to Install Matt?? Kinda hard to do it the first time (if i say so myself).

Glad you got them all on and working though! Show us the pictures now!!! And then later when you get the better digital camera. I always love seeing explorers with neons on them!

As for taking pictures, same with digital and regular cameras.

Turn the flash off (cannot stress enough...flash on - ****ty pictures)

Try to set your camera to have a time delay on taking the pictures. This way, the full neon glow effect will be caught on the camera.

PROBABLY mOST IMPORTAINTLY - USE A TRIPOD. If you do not, normally, the pictures turn out REALLY blurry. If you do not have a tripod, try to find a box or something else that is steady and put your camera on that. If you try to take pics without a tripod (with the exposure time up) they will be blurry.

I found actually, to take better pictures of neon, you actually need more light in the picture than just the neons.. for that I used my garage flood lights. Its hard to take pics of this stuff if your camera isn't very sensetive, mine isn't either.

you don't need to use a tripod, although it could help, if you can hold your hands still I'd say don't worry about that too much unless they do turn out blurry. I can hold my hands relativley still for a still picture (video is another story, talk about that in a minute) but a friend of mine simply cannot.

I'd like to see any pics, even if they are crappy heh, we'll catch up with the good ones in a few

as I was saying about video, I made one of a walkaround of my truck, shows the interior neons very very well. www.redplanetsolutions.net/car.wmv and www.redplanetsolutions.net/car.mpg the wmv is 2 megs the mpg is 18, DL either if you like

Remember, they are brighter than they show on the picture!! At the time I took these the back light wasn't working properly due to a bad connection, so I didn't include the rear shot photo.

OK I'll put it in, I just want to show you guys cuz you can see the bulb through the hitch (I know, illegal, illegal!!), it looks really cool though. There isn't much light on the ground because of the said bad quality of the pictures, but check out the actual bulb through the hitch!!

I love these lights, so many looks since I've gotten them! Oh! One night I had to go pick up my friend, so I walked outside to hop into the X (which had the neons glowing while I was inside ) and there were 4 chicks standing around it!!

You guys had any experiences like this with the neons??
