Just bought a set of these from Advance Autoparts.

They have long wide strips, blue, or white, and then another type (blue or white) with about 5 less LEDs)
They also have a set thats actually shaped like foglights, in blue or white)

Me being me, I bought the blue, long wide strip, more for looks, because I didnt think it was gonna be as bright as they said.

Heres was when i was just seeing what they would look like in different places:

For 19$ I think it looks pretty cool, and not something you see alot...well ever til now haha :p

Its gonna look even better, tomorrow I should be getting my new HID 10,000k bulbs, so its like it will all match, then by next week, ill have all the 6 piece diamond cut headlights and blinkers, all clear lenses.

Ill be sure to post more pics up as i progress :D

What do you guys think of the blue strips so far?

Those are pretty bright. I don't know where I would put them on my car. What are all the colors they come in?

hmm well in the actual fog/driving light ones theres only blue and white, but theres other types of LED bars just like it, that can be mounted behind your grille, or even like mine, that come in like red, green, blue, white, etc the usual colors; theyre just not called Driving lights lol

nice fogs i know in cali we cant have those fogs over here cause of the cops. But the hid fogs are fine with the hid headlights. but with those blue of fogs cops here in cali would give us a fine and tell us to remove them.

blue lights

I agree, becareful with those lights. Hope the cop you run into is officer friendly. Law states white and amber lights in front. White amber and red from the back. You can say you use them for offroading, just don't use them on the highway.

Sams makes a good point. I don't know about the legality of them around here. If I find them to be legal I will probably do some up behind my grill.

only in cali we can have clear white or yellow fogs over here in cali. They allow hid headlights and hid fogs but that color blue for fog lights they dont allow it. I got yellow fogs on mine but i wanna eventually get the 3000k yellow hid fogs for my sport and the 8000k or 10000k hids for my sport.

ehhhhhh im scared to drive now lol it crossed my mind but i was like nahhh
(cus theyre wired into my parking lights) haha

You WILL be pulled over and fined for having blue lights on the front of your vehicle on while you are driving, it is only a matter of time.

I have been pulled over twice because the cop thought the lights on the top of my explorer were red, even though they are clearly amber.

oh, and fyi.. those things dont project enough light to be useful as a fog or driving light. led's are bright, yes, but dont project their light well. when we got them in at work we tore a pack open and hooked them up. we were disappointed.

I was actually surprised at how bright they were, mine lit up the front of the house across the street from me, id say its a good 400' away

but about the tickets, yeah im just gonna go buy a white set of them, and then swap bars, so i dont have to re-do all the wiring

you cannot display any color other then yellow or red or white, having blue lights on the street will result in pulling over, only emergency vehicles can display red or blue aux lights

so be careful where you use them!

Def very illegal in all states

how illegal do you think it will be to just have the back of a billet grill lit up blue?
not projecting any light, but just like, a blue glow?

Since I dont wear a badge in QLD my opinion doesnt mean much, but I would say :thumbdwn:

yeah.. general rule is no blue or red lights on the outside of the vehicle. here in wv there is even a law which doesnt allow you to have any interior lights above the bottom of the glass. meaning you cant have any lights that are visible through the windshield and door windows.

As long as it wasnt like a dead on brightness, i think you'd be okay.
I ended up taking them out of the front, and putting them in the back, so all my audio eqip. glows blue when i turn the parking lights on.

But i also thought about doing what you said, i just need a little TLC behind the grille before i light that up lmao

So, does this mean you will pay the ticket if/when tylerjames gets it?

Gotta watch out on this internetthingy.

"Say it with flowers. Say it with drink. But never, never say it in ink."
