My son and I just picked up a 2000 explorer, four door with 55,000 miles and is all stock. We plan to do the TT and shackles. I have read and search most all of the forums here. This is a great site. I do have some questions. In regards to doing a SOA, I read all about it, but no actual post on how to do it and what do you need to do to the front end to get that up as high as the rear?
One other is the f150 leafs- I could not find a how to on that one either, maybe I missed the links on these two, if someone could point them out, I would appreciate it. One other thing, in front of the console, there is a vertical opening, what the heck is that for?

The opening is a for Kleenex junior kleenex box with dispensor! Pull straight up on the coin box.

From what I understand-for this much lift, you need either a superlift or Dixon Brothers front end--I want the latter myself, seems safer

RCD also makes a front end lift.

The Superlift will run around $1800 just for the lift. It comes with new rear springs.
The RCD will run around $2500 just for the front lift.

I think the Dixon Brothers is pushing close to $5000 just for the lift.
