I can get working on that tomorrow ill look at all the posts and make a list from what i see. I will need anyone who wants their mods listed correctly in accordance with the system on the first post to give me the letters they want under their name and it will be added. Any time i get a new one ill add it to the list and let u know Turdle. Sound good? ^_^

Ok, like it will matter a whole lot anyway-

This thread is an embarassment to the forum world, and I am ashamed.

I cannot believe I completely laid down, put huge tires on, and a lift, still nobody steps up to knock me off the podium. I think the forum name should be changed to " the need for less slow"

Don't let the mustang or camaro forums see this thread----to be honest it is boring.

Now, how's that for a challenge.

Well to be completely fair Jon, most of us dont have the time, effort, and money put into ours that you do. Dont worry though ill get there eventually, just gimme a couple years. lol :D

That may be true for you-however, not for all on the forum. There is plenty of cash being spent here.

I guess the Jeep cherokee and blazer owners have more $$ and time. What, with 1000 hp trans explosions and stuff happening.

We need that stuff here, and, I want to see it. This forum needs some excitement.

Are you hinting at me? I'm still a ways away for my engine, the balancer I discovered had the trigger wheel spun around about 170 degrees. I sent it back and they reset it, but by eye it's clearly off by 5+ degrees. I'm actually trying to find another OEM balancer and have my machinist make another assuming he can. I don't really trust this considering it mysteriously moved(engine builder(balancing machine)), and now they don't put it back together right. Just one thing after another.

I think I'll take my turbo back off and see if I can get the number 1 N/A spot.

Naaw, too much work. I'll try for the power adder spot - in the top three would be good to start off. I believe I only have a 13 second truck right now but I'm trying to fix that.

You are not going to run a low 14 second 1/4 mile, don't even think about it. That's what it'll take to be #1 later this year.

Heck no, I'd have to let the air out of my front tires to run that.

Who thinks they are getting the number one N/A spot this year? With a little more work I am confident I can hit high 14's.

Well Jon knows how slow I am, it will depend on if I get to doing any exhaust work. I have no idea how my 347 is going to like the stock exhaust.

wow 14 second quarter in my x i didnt think was possible. i wounder if the procharger system i am building will put me there.

A procharged 5.0 better run in the 14's. My nearly stock 4x4 4.6 is running 15.4 with nothing other than a tune, ef, and exhaust.

ya but stock to stock your 4.6 eats my 5.0

Well it should, any overhead cam engine should make far more horsepower per cubic inch. The DOHC 4.6 should be capable of 460 hp.

Are you talking N/A form? I know it can do that as well and so could a 2V but unless you have a pretty penny to spend, it's not happening. I know it would be cheaper to build a 302 to make 350HP than it would a 281.

Turdle- I just read a few posts that I missed and got the one of you saying how nobody has challenged you yet. Well I am going to beat your time and anyone else that get in the way. My explorer is #1 and will always be #1. I would lift my vehicle too if I knew it couldn't run any faster;)

My comment was partly sarcastic and ironic. I did mean NA, countless manufactures have made production engines that hit 100hp/liter. The McClaren F1 is my favorite to site, its got a BMW V12 that's 6.0 liters and makes 624hp, California legal power. The Ford modular engines are the worst over head cam engine made in the modern era. I would be horribly ashamed to have built it. The SOHC versions aren't supposed to be world beaters, but the newest 3V engines are close to respectable.

I'm just happy that we still have a big support for pushrod V8's from the aftermarket. It is easy to make 1.25hp/ci with parts that are cheaper than the OHC parts. Even a stock 4.6 is too expensive to buy new compared to what you can get for any older Ford engine(not FE).

Well, you better look for lift kits then--
