I had a oil Leak
I wasn't sure if it was coming from the upper oil pan gasket or the rear main seal it's easier to start with the gasket here's what I found
I'm not sure if it leaks is gotta drive it

The little tabs on the gasket are for the rear of the oil pan the little tabs go up in the rear bearing cavity I think these were not but I'm not sure

By the way no plastic in the oil pan at all

1 side of this part of the gasket was squished more than the other

im of no help here, heh ;)
Changing that gasket was a real pain in the butt although I don't see any oil leaks yet so I think the ears were down
But I thought I thought I ask

Oil pan gasket replacement with the engine still in the car is right up there in the Top 10 Complexity of auto repairs.

Looks easy enough and then you get into the thick of it - all the while on your back...

Be thankful that you hit your goal and have no leaks - you're probably in the 2% of guys that hit it right the first time.

Great job, Don!

Truth is I spend way too much time on the forms Like 7 years everyday
I never had that problem. That being stated
1. How did you remove the oil pan?
2. did you used jack stands or a lift?

Remove the oil pan
1st I started by disconnecting the battery then I removed the starter then I removed the oil pan bolts for the lower pan then I loosened up all of the main cap Cradle nuts/set screws inside the pan Remove the oil pump pick up tube removed all the other bolts remove pan
I did not use Jack stands I simply drove it on ramps
Don't just go willy nilly Bolting that on there without using a torque wrench any questions just ask
