Has anyone put the flared fenders from Perry's on their second gen explorer? Thanks in advance.

A guy who lives around me has a '98 with them on. I stopped him to see if it was as easy as mine were. They are the same thing. Just unbolt yours and drill the wholes in the fiberglass and bolt them up.

So, with the fiberglass fenders on a late model... will we be able to fit 35's with a body lift and the TT/shackles?
I know Jefe has without glass fenders, but can I put them on and have to do no trimming?

You won't have to trim the fenders at all but you'll probably have to bang back the firewall a little. And remember every truck is different. Like some trucks can fit 31s stock and some can't. If you're not affraid to cut and bang, then yes you can get them to fit. :hammer:

YES!

This is exactly what I was thinking.
Why go out and pay big bucks for a crappy IFS lift or do a tasteless body lift when I can run 33's with fiberglass fenders!

Fenderguy, is there any way you could get pics of the late model with perry's fenders??

Man I'm excited about this.

Jason_25; I could not agree more.:bounce: I want to run 33's but I don't want to drop the $$ on a lift, this is perfect since 33's are as big I want to go....and I am trying to stay away from doing a body lift.
This changes alot for my planning... I need to wait until I find out this is for absolute. I checked Perry's website, but couldn't find any prices, have I missed something? Thanks.

becker69, my thoughts exactly. I heard somewhere that they are about $600. But I dunno if they're painted or not.

Yeah still thinking about that. I mean I have to keep my soccer mom fender trim some how!

I'm gonna see if I can't just get a piece of plastic to go over it right and have my body shop guy paint it the silver color.

When you get Perry's fenders they come only in white.

Yes they are white, but will it fit on the late model?? or they have to redesing the hole model for us??

Perry emailed me this:

"The front fenders do bolt on and would run you $230 for the pair. To order contact Perry at (619) 247-4458 and let him know you are with the explorer group."

That was only a few weeks ago...

230 bucks???

That's a great deal. Does anyone know much it would cost to have them painted to your explorer's color?

Why did you have to go and throw another idea in my head? I like this, Because I agree with this being a great alternative to doing the lift.

Yah, but how would you be able to fit 33's or 35's in the BACK, without lifting it. Are there fenders for the rear also????

Do the 2" TT/Shackles and sell me the body lift! :D

The rear doesn't have nearly the clearance issue the front does. With these fenders and a TT/Shackles/Add-a-leaf, you should be able to fit a 33.

AND.....

Helps keep the center of gravity down!!!!!!!

Dude, I am totally hyped on this now. And my rig is white. So, maybe I can get away with it for a couple of weeks. I wonder if it is a bolt on mod...
