So just the front fenders with the discount would cost 255, right? Any idea how much would it cost for shipping?

after looking at 35s on an explorer, i realized taht 33's will be fine for me. im still probably going back to perrys tomorrow and ill be goin on vacation till sunday and ill be back with everyhting done hopefully.

Hey guys,

Really like the idea of doing the 95+ frontend conversion to my slighty smashed 92.

Perry's kit includes the fenders, hood and grille.

Can anyone provide insight as to the fitment, part #'s and wiring of the 95+ Ford headlights, signal lights, etc, when going from '92 to '95?

I phoned Perrys and they said there was some minor trimming and fabrication, but that it could go together in a fella's driveway using Ford or jobber parts (~$300 USD), but they weren't sure about the part #'s?

I'm up in Canada so I'm going to have the get Perry's stuff shipped here and do it myself, just wanted to try to get a feel for how big of a job it is? I'm OK with trimming, drilling and replacing factory parts, but would like to avoid fabrication and downtime, as my X is my daily driver.

malcomzilla, the fab work that will be needed for the perrys kit is bent pieces of metal homemade brackets to attach the fenders..... maybe a little bit of splicing wiring too... and a little bit of coaxing fiberglass to fit.....

I have a 98 w/ a 3" BL TT and shackles. I cant fit my 33x12.5s w/o serious rubbing. to get the back of my front fenders trimmed and painted by a body shop will cost ~$300-350. I was thinking of going with the perrys on the front b/c I need to cover the tires anyway. My concerns are 1) will it look stupid to have the fronts that flare out and not the backs? b/c my tires stick out about 2-3" and I am going to get pulled over for that so I need to cover them somehow. if I trim the sheet metal I still need a big mud flap or a fender flair but none fit that I have found yet. 2) does anyone know of what kinda flare would fit a trimmed front fender? 3) What do you do about a wheel well lining w/ perry's? Over all do you think it is worth me trying to get these things to CT from CA and put them on?? Thanks

I have been debating these since I have a "character" mark in my drivers side front fender. The only concern I had was the same that other sports have, what about the "Rubbermaid" trim??? Didtching it in the rear is not an oprion unless you fab something up to clean up the rear panel behing the plastic trim (may not be that hard.

Rick has fender flares in the rear painted to the same as the truck. Maybe that would be an option. Use a little body putty or fiberglass to "merge" either the under door trim to the new front fender or to ditch the under toor trim and smooth out the back fender flare to the body under the doors. ( I think the front would be easier). Either way I will have some painting to do, so I am going to wait till I get that money saved up for the paint job (or atleast till I have a plan for the paint job) to do it.

But I dissagree with the fact that fiberglass doesn't repair as easy as the metal. a little glass and some sanding and you are good as new. Metal or glass it still has to be repainted.

That doesnt look like a real hot paint match on the hood and fenders but could be just the light?

the paint match looks pretty good to me on his homepage, you gotta think too the truck is 5+ years old and the fenders were 5 days old.

ok.... If I go with the fiberglass front fenders will I be able to fit 33X12.50? I can't even come close to fitting them with my current setup (TT, shackles, leaf).

What bs on my rim could I use? Would a 33x12.5 mounted on a 10" rim with 3.5" bs fit? They stick out pretty far on the 10" rims and 3.5" bs so I'm worried about that.

Thats what I'm hoping to accomplish, but on an 8" wheel...
