There is good reason to believe this thread has become the eight wonder of the internet. How it made it to ten pages, and counting, is beyond all logic and explanation, IMO. There has been what seems like five billion options given to the OP and he has had an excuse for not doing every single one of them. This thread might be one of the most epic trolls ever to occur on EF.
Seems like if, you can't work on the car in front of your house, then find a corner of a parking lot to do the repair. There was a point when I only had one car and it was in desperate need of new control arm bushings. I did the job in a home depot parking lot that had an auto parts store across the street. I chose home depot cause I couldn't find the proper tools locally in the time frame the job needed to be done so I made the tool with plumbing pipe, threaded rod and a large stack of washers. If you want to accomplish something you will find a way, if not you will find an excuse.

I think the OP could have a heated and cooled garage with a lift and a full set of tools in it and still would find a reason to not take any advice offered.

Yes, but what if someone wants extra peperroni? AND how do I lie to the boss? AND could I hook a fluid pump up to a kitty litter box tray, run the pump through my floorboard, and recycle all of this oil at red lights??? AND ….
(I couldn’t stand it… had to throw in some more bullsh*t…. My bad…Sorry).
1 qt of bacon grease it is!!!! itll smell tasty!!!!!!! plus, i bet there a good amount of that at the pizza place too! if not, vegetable oil (or suitable replacement)
Kind of a lie though, that bacon never went to Canada let alone lived there.
And let me tell ya. My ol Betty gal leaks oil, gotta fix that but when I pick up my pie of sustanance, if they tell me to leave because of that oil drop I'm gonna point at the pizza and tell them I m buying my gas elsewhere. By golly.
I made a square aluminum pan 1 foot square, 1.5" deep, and bolted to to a transmission bell housing bolt and starter bolt, then I put an absorbent pad in it, and covered it with a heavier mesh to prevent the pad from blowing out of the pan at highway speeds.
AT205 is an engine sealer designed to soften and swell rubber oil seals, I bought it at Napa
