Hey guys, been awhile since I have posted over here!

I'm having some issues with heat and plug wires. I'm running boots on the plug wires, but still seem to cook wires, especially #3. The latest set of plug wires is a ford performance 8mm set, with 90 degree elbows on each end.

The plug wires have to go down before they can go up with the torque monsters and it has been a challenge keeping things routed and away from the heat?

Anyone have any plug wire recommendations and heat boots? (I am running a mustang style distributer as it is a 347 stroker with aftermarket injection in a ford sport trac)

I run taylor thundervolt 8.2 wires with the heat socks
I route the wires AWAY from the headers, over to the fender skirts
Never an issue
I have installed quite a few sets of Torque Monster Headers and wire sets.... Do not plan to use factory routing or you will melt wires.

Just covered this topic on a 2000 Ranger I am building

That is a great write up.

thanks! Shes running now, I posted a video yesterday and now the ranger site has crashed....sheesh

the DEI and ACCELL wires are GOOD options for sure
Routing and heat socks is the key, even stock wires can be made to work this way.....
