As for me i dont have much but it hits pretty hard and everyone think i have 2 12's

Deck:Jvc KD-HDR50 $60
DSC02190.jpg

Amp:Alpine MRP-M500 $100

DSC02192.jpg

Sub and box:Alpine Type-R 12' running the full 500 watts on a 2 ohm load and the box is a fierce audio XED box..1.15cu and if i had to guess the port hz id say 38hz...Sub was $45 and box was $28...

For the money i spent it sounds great and im surprised my factory speakers sound very clear for the truck being 11 years old. here is a video (I usually dont listen to this bad of dumbed down nonsense rap...but the bass in this song is great!)..i believe the volume was on like 38/50..which is usually where i draw the line on the volume.

I love the way the box looks, that piano black looking paint. Prefab or a custom?

You could probably figure out the tuning pretty easily, just measure the interior volume and port length and use a calculator to figure it out.

My single little 8" will make the mirror shake. lol

I got a Pioneer head unit that controls the ipod.

Pioneer 4 ways in all four doors.

Single JBL 8" sub powered by a cheap Crunch 500w amp.

Sounds great for what I listen to. Not too much bass.

Believe it or not its a prefab lol retails for $149.99. the piano black portion is actually plastic.

And Foxracin' i give you kudos for Killswitch haha...And nice setup as well...sometimes you dont need much...I almost did a 18' Fi BTL which would have ran anywhere between 3k-5k watts...but i told myself i wouldnt need that much lol. Plus at the time money was tight.

I have 1 ten inch Elemental Designs e5.10 sub in a ported box Its very loud. My mid bass are Exodus Audio 6.5s. They have a xmas of 12.5 mm. They are real loud too. They go down to 45 hz & bring the bass up front very well. I plan a pair of 4 inch mids when I get the pods built so I can band pass the 6.5s from 45 to 1000 hz. I'm running 250 rms a side to my front speakers & 500 rms to my sub. I can make my outside mirrors shake enough to blur the image. I'm happy with my little system. I have friends with 2 tens that aren't as loud as my 1. Your box can really help a sub.

No i am in Miami,FL...also i have built my own box since these pics were posted

Box-1.jpg

and as of now the sides, front, and bottom are carpeted...still need to carpet the top and back...just been lazy

The box HIIIITS so friggin' hard yo....2.25cu ft after port and woofer displacement and tuned to 32hz...video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq1OhJJS0iw

It hits even harder now...i forgot to brace the box in one spot which cause the wood to flex and cause i massive airleak...this video was prior to fixing the box. The rear side windows and fenders flex hard as ****. lol

I'm from North Louisiana. I build boxes & do installs for friends. My single 10 hits harder than many pairs of 10s. It weighs 24 lbs & has 25mm xmas. I have several boxes sold due to the one in my Ranger. They don't like the boxes they got from Best buy after hearing mine. This is my sub box, Alpine 9887,sub & mids. I'm repainting the sub box It will be the color of the interior trim.

Im sure you don't want to see a pic of a 10+ year old radio with no display and four blown speakers. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. However, I have a replacement HU, a 10" sub, 600W Kenwood amp for the sub already in my possession. Just have to obtain four door speakers and a used amp for them.

On the other hand: Right side drive Exploder? Way cool!

Welll, the 6-disc from the factory was nice, but it needed a little something more...
