I don't know man. I swapped in a Mazda Tranny in mine after I killed 2 a4lds. It has lasted better than them. I think that some early rangers and Bronco 2s had mechanical clutches, not hydralic. I will tell you who would know- 410fortune. You might Pm him. He helped me with my manual swap and he knows alot about trannys for explorers and rangers.
