Garth were do you get the new board from?
thanks
ric:exp: :exp:

Well she works again! Didn't take pics cause it was simple. Tested the resisters on board and they are within tollerance, if it breacks again I will replace them since you can tell they have been hot. You can tell the board has been hot too. I moved them out from the board and resoldered some other connections. She is working great now, we will se how long it lasts. If it goes out again I will replace the resistors and resolder al the contacts on the power supply board. I have another one here to use as a spare so I can clean it up and resolder the board as a replacement if this one goes out. I will keep you posted but as for now It works (makes a noise that you can hear when engine isn't running and radio is down) but it works.:D :D :D :D :D

off topic..

Does anyone elses STOCK radio display the song titles? Mine just started doing it the other day.

Is that while playing a cd?? Never seen it before.

DaMM forD!!! I thought i was the only one who this happened too.. I hate when you buy something and then the ppl you buy it from say they cant help you, when you payed the extra warranty for them to help!! ERR!!

Probably while on radio? It has that thing that the radio station name displays, maybe his station started puching down the song too?

back on topic, mine is still working however it is very dim. Gonna pull it and replace the resistors and touch a few other places then it should be good to go!

ricstone!!!!
I did the cleaning of the power supply board and my display is now on again.
I found that the heat shield was loose and so was a resistor, resolder everything and now I am back in business(for now).
If this does not hold up, then i will send it away to this shop somewhere in new(saw it on a earlier post)york to have it fixed for the tidey some of $78 bucks with a six month warranty. Much better than not knowing for sure with the poineer stuff.

one of my annual checks at Ford i asked them to check my radiO.. they charged me to take it apart and they didnt even find out wut was wrong.. they said all the parts are in tact and everything... "damm ford" agen.. I hate forD.. but my family keeps on goin back for more cars!!! hehe

I had an electrical problem with my mustang and after keeping it overnight and found nothing they wanted to charge me $1500 with no guarantee of fixing the problem.

Mines does too

wish they'd play cd-text

I thought I had the cd text setup before the display went again.
There were so many things that I had set-up this time around maybe the manual can tell me if cd text is one of them.
