***RANT*** Very very mad at my chip guy.

Ok this is my story. I ordered my Diablo dlta dual program chip with some other stuff about 3 1/2 months ago through a person (to remain un-named). I since then have recieved everything except the injectors and the chip. And the only reason i didnt get the injectors is because i was under the impression that i could just wait a few more days and have them both be shipped togetehr once the guy got the chip back from the programmer. Well that has been well over a month now since even that. He has neither seen nor sent me my chip. All i need to install my supercharger is my stinking chip for my timing and A/F's. If i would have known that it would have taken this long i would have ordered through Apten or someone else my chip. It has taken ALOOOOT of patience to hold my anger down this long. But i feel as if i am going to burst if i dont let it out somehow. I will have close to $8000 invested under my hood lone once the cam and rockers go into my truck ehre soon. And instead of seeing that power under my hood the charger has been collecting dust on my desktop for the last 3 months. I have stuck with it for a long time now but i am very very very close to just saying **ck it and sending an order off to Apten or JMS or someone else and cancelling my order with this person and asking for my money back. This person i ordered the stuff through has tried to help me and did provide me with great information and stuff the whole time but i just dont know if he is not pushing the programmer hard enough or what? I mean rushing a person and the person not meeting the timely needs of service is two different things. I mean i have heard small b!tches about Apten not getting back with some of its customers for a few weeks but this is unacceptable. well over 3 months now. I am calling JMS and seeing what they can offer me for a custom chip for my specific computer. Or maybe Apten. Even if they take a month it most likely would have still beaten the other chip order. God i am soooooo mad right now. And the person i got my stuff from if you see this, dont take it personally. But i am very angry right now. I got less than 2 months left in this country before i ship out to another duty station in Bahrain for 2 years and i cannot take my truck with me!!! Somebody please tell me i am not just over-reacting or being childish.

3 months no way you're over reacting... I had a store get me the wrong set of headers for a car 3 times in a row once... they gave me my money back when I almost pulled the store manager over the counter. So you're handling it better than most of us

I hope the best Rocket. I understand where your coming from and i would be heated also. Hopefully you can get this stuff together quickly, i would love to have a ride in it when it is done

I'd definitely look at getting something sooner so you can get it together before Bahrain.

They arent neccessarily a villain. But I feel they sure havent been doing their job if it is taking me this long to get my chip. They are a part of this site though.

sounds odd, because I think I know the person you are talking about, and they are normally pretty reliable. Could be a case of some chip problems or problems getting the air meter data or files. I think you will be taken care of real soon

I will give him till the end of the week to recieve it from the other guy and if not by then. Well then Brian will have one more person for the group buy. The rate i am going i could have made my own chip out of superglue and balsa wood by now (sarcasm).

Actually i have tried all thwe methods and J&B Weld yeilds the best horsepower results.

Well i have talked to a few people. And it seems to be working out. My parts guy seems to have decided to go with another chip programmer ( ) So hopefully he and I will be alot better off when it comes to chips in the future. I SHOULD be recieving my chip and my other stuff by the end of this week. We will see how that turns out. But i do got a feeling that it truly has been taken care of. Just to clarify. It seemed like more a problem of the programmer than the parts guy. I want to say more but like i said no names on this one. I just want to thank Brian for being a bigger help than what he let on, apparently. It really shows alot about a company that can get on the ball and help out when needed. Though i dont have an actual Apten chip () I still support their company quite a bit after this. Thanks once again. And hopefully i can recieve and install the chip and whole supercharger setup this weekend. If so and it runs all right then i might be posting track times soon as long as it seems to be running without any problems whatsoever. Then once i get a dyno tune i can really see what my cars limits will be. Lets me just say I want to eat a Cobra for breakfast. Maybe not an 03 but an older 98 or so one? I feel my X is very hungry for a meal like that. Hehe. I think i got one in mind.

Well if i get the stuff by this friday then this weekend would be a good candidate for a time to install. I will most likely be doing it at my buddies house in his garage. My apartment manager frowns upon working on our cars in the parking lot. She made a big stink about me dropping my tranny pan and pulling my valve body right there in the parking lot while installing my shift kit. hehe. The tranny fluid spot is still not soaked in all the way. lol.

Well just to update i have the charger about 75% installed. Just waiting to send my computer to Brian at Apten to resolve a few issues. I have also had my new Crane #2040 Powermax (E-303) cam installed with my new Crane 1.7 roller rockers. Here is the Video Link. Well if you were wondering what a 5.0 X with a 2.5" true dual exhaust with dual series 40 flowmasters and an E-303 cam sounds like then look no further. hehe. C ya.
