Yea I have been talking with the guy who runs that company for a couple of days now. They use some internal parts from king.

So this 07 Radiant Red Double cab 5.7L 4x4 TRD is yours right?

It turned out we had them bring in the Silver Tundra from another dealer, but when it got here it didn't have all the options I wanted. turns out you cant get bucket seats and some other stuff with out the TRD package, So we ended up making a new deal for this Red truck that was on their lot that had what we wanted plus a little more:D . They also gave me 2k above blue book for my ranger I traded in which helped sway me to the red truck. hopefully I should have some pictures of the truck tonight.

Why the hell did i call those coil-over "prides"?
I just got back from riding and I realized thats what I typed. WTF!

I just thought you meant to type prices. the C and the D are right next to each other on the keyboard.

Ohhh I think you're right!! Ahaha wow I'm so off today.. when I read that, i started thinking of a pride of lions. This heat is getting to me, better start praying for more snow.

Ok some more coilover tech. I asked Dave measure his 14" King Coilovers at ride height. Came to be 28" eye to eye. Fully extended they are 38.5" long. This means that the shock is compressed roughly 10" at ride height. With his spring rate of 200/250, gives him a combined of 110lbs/in. This means for every 110 pounds of weight on the coilover it compresses 1 in. So if I do a calculation out that means each corner on his truck weighs 1100 pounds roughly.

10x110=1100

Now the FOA coilovers Im looking at are

14" travel coilover:
Compressed: 22.25" Extended: 36.25"

16" travel Coilover:
Compressed: 24.25" Extended: 40.25"

my next problem is if I go with a 16" travel shock, then my main spring needs to be 18". the eibach coils lowest spring rate for 18's is 400. I think that will be to much for my secondary spring rate. Kings 18" coils lowest is 300. A 200/300 coil setup will net me a 120lbs/in main rate and then the 300 secondary which i think will be alot better. The King coils are more expensive but since im only using these on the front its not a huge deal. Anyone have any insight on this?

You might want to check and see what spring rates Hypercoil offers, PolyPerformance carries them. I really think you'll get all the travel you need from a 14" coilover plus you may end up running a lot of lift to fit the 16 inchers under the hood.

Who says they need to fit under the hood? :D

yea I really need to get home and take some measurements. I like the Idea of the 16's for the fact that down the road when more work is evetually done to the truck Ill have a set of coilovers that will still work. The problem with the Hypercoils with a 16" shock is the 18" main spring is going to cost me 200 dollars each. where a king or eibach is 110-130 dollars.

After seeing jefe, db1, and michael, I cant see how you really would need more flex then what they are able to get with a 14" shock. I dont think I can count more then maybe a few times where they have picked up a tire.

Also how much are those coil overs running anyway?

Now you're talkin'...no fenders, narrow the hood and nothing but shock hoops and C/O's showing:D

I was thinking more along the lines of Cutting some holes for the top part of the hoops and C/o's to stick through, but you never know..

Yea this might very well be what I end up doing, the Coilovers im looking at in the 16" travel are the same collapsed length as DB's and are just 2" longer full extended. The coilover its self with Resi, is running about 240 each. Then add coils.

looking good

Well I finally got pictures of my new truck.

Sweet buddy!I like how they give you plates the same day. In calli you got to wait for the inmate to stamp them out!

Those are the plates off my ranger that we traded in.
