Well VISA is going to be very happy with me this month.

no new pictures but I did get some minor progress done. The tranny crossmember had to be cut up a little on the outer ends so that my link mounts will fit. so I got that done. My seats came in as well as my shackle mounts for the bumper. I didnt have much time to Work on the truck as I went truck shopping on saturday. This week I should be finalizing a deal on a new DD/Tow Rig. Its a chevy though.

:D

I looked at all the big companies, came down to the New Tundra and the 2500. Toyota didnt want to deal on price at all since they sell the tundras as fast as they can get them. Chevy gave me a deal i couldnt pass up. 35K sticker, deal is under 30k.

Are you going to be able to work in the Ranger over the summer or will you be working? Any idea when you might be finished?

The dog days of August are still a few months away :D You've got plenty of time.

im going to do my best to get it done, I got to school year round, with only a couple breaks (week here week there). but every chance I get im at home working on it. Another thing is the chevy didnt pan out they tryed to low ball us on my trade in so we walked out. we are still looking for a different dealership with a similar truck and we are reconsidering the tundra also.

Gotcha -- well school is priority so just keep at it :D

just like that but silver

I also got my Pro Tools 105HD Bender in, I have to either pour a slab in the yard or get some drop in anchors for the garage.

A fantastic truck redranger4.0  :D

...or convert it to hydro and wheel it around where you need it:p:

I used 5/8" Thompson drop in anchors and they work great. Make sure you use a good hammer drill, it makes life easier.

Nice build!

Ive been doing alot of thinking and since I just got my bender I know have the tooling to build shocks towers and a simple engine cage/brace. Im weighing my options between Coilovers and Airshocks. I found a company that makes a a decent low priced coilover. www.F-O-A.com

p-coil1.jpg

I plan on using their remote reservoir coilovers, and if I go with airshocks then it would be Fox 2.5" airshocks. The thing that is pushing me towards coilovers is the performance, as they are easyer to tune. But I need help on the valving and spring rates. This is what I have so far to compare too.

DB_1 has a combined spring rate of 111lbs/in with a 200tender/250main coil setup making his secondary 250lbs/in (14"x2.5" King's)

Michael has a combined spring rate of 145lbs/in with a 250tender/350main coil setup making his secondary rate 350lbs/in (14"x2.0" Kings)

Rick has a different Coilover placement making his spring rates at the coilover much higher then DB or michael, so I didnt include his here.

Equation: Rate 1=A Rate 2= B

(AxB)/(A+B)= final rate

So this 07 Radiant Red Double cab 5.7L 4x4 TRD is yours right?

Yes and no, Same EXACT truck except I dont have a pinstripe or stepboards (it had stepboards but I had the dealer remove them), on mine. I Dont have an actual picture of my truck yet, but ill try and get one tonight. But that truck is the same color and has the same exact package as my truck has.
