i'll wait for colin to chime in and see if we should start a new post and give it an early august date not to conflict with the other runs...i want to go on the run up north at the end of august but will have to see what funds are like...My X i'm hoping will be ready to go on the big bear run in july...

Go ahead and start a new thread. I'm not sure if my Ex is feeling very good. I have to check it out, but I think the tranny might be taking a dump. If that's the case, the Ex will be sitting until I can afford a 5.0/tranny swap. I'm not about to spend any money rebuilding/replacing the a4ld. Been there and done that on a Ranger and my old Ex.

I could probably steal my dad's Rover for the weekend though.

Yeah I hear you on that one. I am in the process of replacing my trans. I have it out now I just have to put in the new one lol. If I have to do it again I will be eather having a shop do it or do the 5.0 as well. I think I would be able to make the august run though.

Yes, it has red fenders and peeling paint at Pismo... I got the other picture of it elsewhere... I think it was called "ready to go shopping version..." where were trying to get it in 4wheeler magazine I think. Do you have pix of the before/after routine?... or know of some resources for help getting from where I am to where yours is...
