I have not been impressed with the Hurst shifters I have seen, nothing but problems!!
You can adjust the pushrod from the brake booster into your master cylinder to adjust the brake biast to the rear. You are running rear discs right? What master cylinder did you use? Its been so many pages back I dont remember.
If you are running rear discs with a BII rear drum master cylinder you should consider a 95 Explorer master cyl.
I ran around with my 88 master cyl and rear discs for almost 3 years, went through 4 sets of rear pads, the rear discs were dragging with the drum master cyl. I swapped out for a no frills 95 Explorer master cyl and the braking was improved BIG TIME, ESPECIALLY on the trail... when crawling down rock faces I am really able to control the tires, stop the truck as each tire drops off a rock, etc way better than before...
