Maybe someone can help me out with this...

I had a Flowmaster 70 series installed on my 98 Sport SOHC about a year ago. Since then I have had to replace the same o2 sensor (bank 2 sensor 1)three times. Is there any way that the new exhaust could be causing the problems with the sensor? My idle also seems to bounce from 500 to 700 RPM while I'm at idle, and there is some horrible hesitation when I try to accelerate. I'm going to try a can of sea foam and replacing my plug wires. Any other ideas?

Had this same rough idle hesitation with my 95 xlt and if ur's is doing the same thing mine was then ur fuel pump is slowly dying....dealer replaced my bad fuel pump which was about $650....not sure if this will help but i thought it might be some useful troubleshooting for you.

Why are you replacing O2 sensors?
How about putting a scanner on your truck and see if there are any codes?
Check your fuel pressure.
Clean your MAF.

I'm having the same problem, but I believe it is the MAF.

I am cleaning it tonight, I will post soon to let you know if it works.

Check the hoses going from driver side exhaust manifold, up to intake. There are 2 lines coming off the larger metel tube, that go to the DPFE sensor. Check them real closly, for cracks or blown out areas.
Dont just look, pull them off and give them a good going over.

A leak from the egr tubes will throw a low flow 02 sensor code.

I cleaned my MAF sensor, and that seems to have worked. I took it for a 20 minuite drive, and for now, at least, it hasn't acted up at all.

The codes I got were for bank 2 sensor 1 responding slowly and fuel mixture too rich...

I cleaned the MAF, checked all the hoses, and ran the sea foam through...nada. It seems to run a hell of a lot smoother, but still getting the loping idle, and CEL...I noticed before I did the sea foam that the exhaust coming out was pretty dark...maybe has something to do with the fuel mixture code I got?

Oh and the fuel pressure is fine, the fuel filter was replaced about 10000 miles ago.
