sasd 2nd gen on eBay

kert0307 >> I dont think thats a stock/standard TRE at the end of that rack and pinion. The stock TRE is a ball-joint, the one in the ad is either a clevis or a heim joint. The TRE shaft that connects to the rack and pinion also looks like its a larger diameter (probably sleeved).

ok, you got me there...but it still looks like the factory steering rack, right?

yep, sure does :D

This thing is so dangerous. How in the world is it at $6100?

He probably bid on it himself so he could brag to his buddies about how his rigged crap bid at $6100.00...:fart:

It is really scary that that anyone would bid on that. What other shortcuts (or long winding trails in this case)did he take???

W O W...

couple hours left...

and i thought i had it bad pushing 33" bfg a/t with the 3.73 with the 4.0...

nothing wrong with that...
I have 33's and 3.73's and i have plenty of power...

the ugliest thing on the truck is those tires sticking much tooo far out of the wheel wells..

You wouldn't say that if you knew what 4.56s with 33s felt like. ;)

Your tranny probably doesn't like you much either.

bidding ended at 6500.00 just wondering what the reserve was on that X?

Ok, has anyone stopped to think that this guy is probably a member on here somewhere. I mean to do that much to an X, and not stumbled across this site is unlikely. I'm still confused as to why you would leave the rack any way. Why wouldn't you automatically look at putting in a normal steering setup?

Provided it is a trail only rig than I suppose the steering setup would work in a pinch.. I mean if you were on a budget and wanted something quick and dirty then I would have to give some credit for comming up with something so simple. But as everyone else has said, it looks like a death trap at highway speeds.

Did you guys read the auction? It says "PROFESSIONALLY CUSTOM BUILT BY : CHECKERD RACING BEDFORD IN.".

Thats scary
