Just installed a larger cooler than the factory auxiliary. I got one from a salvage yard that came from an F-350 with a V10. I installed an auxiliary filter because of what I've read in this thread. Also, even though I flushed the salvage cooler very well, I feel better knowing there is a filter right after it to catch anything that didn't come out of the cooler when I flushed it. I got lucky in that there was a lot of extra space on the bracket holding my grill guard so I mounted the filter to that. This put the filter right in the bumper cover, tucked up nice and high but easy to get to.
Anxious to see how it all performs when I move to Phoenix July 1.
