should i put 30-35 psi on 44 psi tires

My name is Sam I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4x2.

Some people on here are telling me 30-35.

On the tire itself it says 44 psi.

So can I put 30-35 psi or do I have to put 44 psi.

What does the tire read around the "44psi?" Most tires only state a "max psi."
