SOA Lift

I want looking under my exddie and curious about how i could do an soa lift. i looked and thought how in the hell am i going to mount my shocks? is there a shock relocation bracket or some sort of different bracket for the shock? and is this even a good way to lift the rear end? If i did this, what would be the best way and most inexpensive way to lift the front to match?

Superlift makes a SOA "conversion kit" which also has shock mounts on them. That's what I had on mine and it worked fine.

If you do it this way, you can use the rear sway bar mounting holes as the lower shock mounts.

The SOA get's you 5.5" - 6" of lift, so if you can find a used Superlift 5.5" or Skyjacker 6" lift, you'll be set.

heres another idea using 3" body lift for the front and soa in the rear. this is the way id like to eventually do mine!!

Just a heads up, Skyjacker or Superlift do not make those lifts for your 2000 Explorer, if that's the vehicle your referring this to go on.

Those would be for the first generation Explorer. You'll need to do an SAS or the sloped body lift as mentioned above to level out your front end.

Another kit would be Superlift's 4in drop bracket for your IFS. That would put you close.

i have a 2000 eddie V8. So your saying if i did an SOA, i would have to do a front body lift? just so im making thing clear to myself. Do you guys know the part number for the superlift SOA conversion? and where would i get the front body lift? I just wanna keep this as simple as can be and my Costs LOW and the Reliability HIGH.

Good call, I didn't even notice what forum this was in or that he had a second gen...

It won't be cheap to get the front of your explorer close to the 5.5" - 6" of lift the SOA will give you unless you do the sloped body lift like mentioned with a torsion twist.
