Someone build something already !!!

I say put 'em out as far as you can.. you need a place for people to stand when you need ballast..

dont worry I am working LOL just turned fence into a gate so we could put our new to us tent trailer in the back yard, free up more parking
tent trailer re-model is a current project, planning to make a toy hauler with it eventually :)

so yeah still working on the gate/fence and back yard, landscaping is the next big project, babys room is done and ready to go, in fact I even dusted it once already LOL
finally finished up the FJ ARB install. the latest snow storm brought down 300 trees & branches at my parents house.....time to get out the chainsaws....it never ends

um yeah that is some serious pucker factor!! looks like he could have driven right out of it though :) LOL

the scariest part of that pic is Danny desided he could just back up from there....then there was about 20 people screaming at him "NOOOO!!!!"

I'd say the scarriest part is that there is a dog in that vehicle :)

To me, it looks like a < 2005 Kawasaki ninja 600 or 750 (zx6 or zx7).. I "think" 2005 is when they went to undertail exhaust on the zx6.

I've been tempted a few times to replace my '92 zx-6 with a newer zx6 or even one of the 636's. I even looked at, almost bought a zx11 but I couldn't get the cash together fast enough so it sold before I got it..

BTW.. its one of the faster ones.. you can tell 'cause its got green (everyone knows the green ones are faster :))

Nice looking bike there James!! What exactly is it??
95 Kawi ZX9R. I got it a few years back when gas prices started rising. I had been wanting to get back on 2 wheels and that was the perfect excuse. :D Its one of the more comfortable sportbikes and with the 3/4" bar risers i added i have no problem touring on it.

yeah, what a difference a few inches makes, I was hanging out the window looking at the wrong line thinking it was no big deal at all, before Paul could say his first word by tire was up in the wrong spot and we were cliffhanging.

so back to the thread, I bought a couple of those big magnet things at harbor freight to help with the welding.

Well, with me the cage makes the stupidity level go up since it washes away a certain amount of self preservation but i wasnt going to apply that to anyone else here. :D

On sale for $.89?

I still get real nervous on hill sides, but with the cage I can tell you I keep in floored in washes and whoops, there have been more than a few ocassions where I come across a ledge and see a dropoff of 2-3 feet, sometimes not straight on and keep the pedal to the floor.

My theory, it can't go sideways or over if momentum keeps it going forward on the wheels.

This is why my 3/16 skid plate and bumper now have a large dent because one of those ledges had an uphill lip that took first hit, but the truck deflected off the bank and we kept on rocking.

I just need to get my motor as peppy as R.J.'s, I drove his truck in the truckhaven washes and the speedo was buried.

I agree. I doubled the width of my first sliders, by welding another rectangular tube to the first. That way I can put the sliders against an obstacle and pivot off of them keeping the body out of harms way... Usually;)

You can see them in action here starting at the 1:50 mark.

Well? Any bends from you two?

And as for you, any hogs yet :p:

Oh and RockRanger, be careful with the follower die (or "shoe" as some people call it). It can get scratched rather easily which then transfer onto the tube you're bending.

My follower die before cleaning up:

I always use white lithium grease, in a spray on can style.. Kinda looks like.. uhm.. yea, that stuff.

Clean the tube with wd-40 and a green 3m pad, spray follower with white lithium, and then bend it..

I found a a small flap wheel in a small die grinder is great for cleaning up the follower when it's gouging too much, like this:

Oh, ok, so it's:

1) ******** the tube, cleaning it up..
2) cum all over the follower..
3) bend away!

:D

Ahah!

Yeah I've been using a tube of lithium grease I had around (for bike parts) but after maybe a dozen or so bends, its almost time to clean up the follower again. I'm also considering dropping the follower off at one of the heat-treating shops near Baltimore and have it case hardened.
