Something w/ rabbits. 72.5 pages of BS

So ingenious. I love seeing people make tools on the spot for something you just don't ever think of needing or using! Cheers to you, IZ

Thanks guys!

Some electronic parts came in over the weekend.

A GM 1-wire 140 amp alternator (CS-130, 12 o'clock casing):

The "1-wire" part:

12.1" LCD from a cop car. Its supposed to be around 1,500 nits so it should be readable in the sun. It also has a touch screen feature but I'm not sure that'll get used much (scratching issue). For future reference, PDF specs of unit is available at this L3 site.

Finished up the radiator tubes. The upper had to be modified - forgot that a tube was going to go where it was running.

I figured I've been working on the passenger's side enough so time to move onto the driver's side - some brake pedals. Pivot is 5/8" bolt with some bronze bushings, heim is 3/8" (in compression so it should be all good). Pedal ratio is slightly under 6:1

As I posted a long time ago, I'm using a GM PowerMaster brake master cylinder. Well that unit needs to be dissasembled in order to fit the brake master cylinder part under the seat (mounted low to keep the CG low):

Clutch master cyl will be mounted behind and slight beside the brake master cyl. Obviously, both will have a remote reservoir.

Well, I just spent 3 hours reading this whole thread. It all looks amazing to me. I still don't understand some of the suspension angles, but I am trying to learn. This "truxplorer" should really be named the "Junglegym." :D

Some of us affectionately call it garage *****.

Oooohhhhhh... that's a slam isn't it? He just slammed you...:D

wow, just went through 74 pages. this thing is insane! Makes me wanna go crazy on my truck right now. Wish I had access to all that equipment. Crazy fabrication skills IZ!
SUSCRIBED~!

Wait.. you're putting a nerdy computer into this thing?

I still like "Garage *****"

hmmm, I checked back in on this thread after last checking it on 06-19-2008, I see zero progress.

Started on these diagonal bars to protect the humans - which I need to do now because the bar that supports the steering valve connects to this structure.

I don't think it should be called garage *****. I think tool box might be more appropriate.
