Speed Governor

Hey whats up everyone. Does everyone knwo where the speed governor is on the 1999 Ford Explorer and do any of you know how to take it off.:exp:

To change/remove the speed limiter, one needs a chip/tune; iys PCM controlled.

Al is 100 percent correct, and I build on this subject, as i am in the process.

Along with setting or eliminating the speed limiter, a good tune will adjust rev limiter, shift points, air-fuel ratio and ignition timing curves for more efficiency, more performance, or you can even install a slower speed governer ,good for anti theft-valet-letting kids drive car, if a piggy back flip chip setup is used. Hide the switch.
